So their solution is to bust people for weed and taking away their 2nd amendment rights? I don't think it's going to work. Probably great for making people think you are doing something, but the drug war is a losing strategy.

Considering weed is still illegal, as is having a firearm while possessing drugs, as is having a firearm while on campus (exception for students coming or going from dorm), it’s a good place to start.
What would you in your ultimate wisdoms suggest?

Won't be back anytime soon until they get that cleaned up. Hopefully, their new plan works.
Hope its not the same folks in charge of the traffic plan.

Weed being illegal is part of your problem. And I can't find the word "unless" anywhere in the 2nd amendment.

We have a fundamental problem with the entire way the police and the people interact. They should not be seen as the enemy, and they are often seen as the enemy by many because they are out there enforcing social laws like busting people for weed, owning a gun, which is their god given right, instead of the real crimes.

So if you just want to keep making the divide between the police and the people even bigger, then fricking have at it. But if you want to start to really make a change and get into a society where the people actually fricking help the police and see them as useful, then maybe start respecting the rights of the people and spend the efforts towards the real crimes like theft, murder and so forth.

I'd rather dodge bullets in BR than live in white arse College Station. They still have a Cheddars for God Sakes. Place is filled with white people who hiss and thumb each other.

Think about it.

How about this, we take all the guns confiscated by the police, set up a booth in front of the police station and hand them out, 1 to a customer, to anyone who wants one along with a flyer directing them to a store where they can stock up on cartridges for their new toy.

Additionally, we decriminalize crime, make it all legal. If there is no crime there are no criminals.

Now, to keep all those new gun owners from doing naughty things with their new guns we also start handing out money so they have no need to rob, steal and kill. They can use those guns for more useful pursuits such as shooting at traffic signs and street lights instead of people.

Let's whip society into shape, free guns, no crime and plenty of money for everyone.

Or you could just follow the constitution and implement a system of actual justice as I suggested.

I won't live in a shitty arse state that wants to put people in jail for things like weed. And I can tell you first hand from having lived in both, the way I think about the police now and then is night and day.

If we are going to outlaw shite, we should start with alcohol. Not that I'm in favor of it, but hey lets start with some real talk on what is responsible for the most problems.

But because it's socially acceptable in your world, well that's fine.

The price for having freedom is giving it to others, and the arguments against freedom is always a fear of what someone else may do with theirs. You disgust me.

I go to almost every game, and the demographics at the LSU-South Carolina game this past weekend were noticeably different. I think some outside groups were putting on block party type "tailgates" and brought in a different element.

Now with this crackdown, it will be interesting to see how LSU-A&M goes.

I made this handy map for the out of towners. The areas north of campus shaded in green are ghetto. That strip along Highland at the Cane's logo can be ok during the day. But the further north you go, the more dangerous it gets. Some of the bad elements ventured south and set up a stronghold at the green circle near Acadian Hall; LSU is closing this area off to tailgating indefinitely.

I would recommend parking/tailgating south or west of Tiger Stadium.

Heck, I am all for recreational cannabis.

As for the 2nd Amendment, my only prob with it are the people who seem to think it is the only amendment while in reality it is the 1st that is under constant attack by a certain administration that wants to limit a free press, stifle dissent and suspend all protections instead of extending them to everyone which is what this country was founded on.

And I reserve the right to sling a little sarcasm when I feel like it.

People have a God given right to self defense. So any time I hear about gun charges, I just don't care. At all. Now, if someone does something with that gun that is illegal, that's another story. However, those actions are themselves already illegal.

I don't drink, I think it's terrible and much worse than weed. I've been attacked by drunk people over stupid shite that only exists in their mind and had bad interactions with them so many times. But I wouldn't try to take away responsible peoples right to have it. I'd be punishing people for the crimes of others. Because some dumbass got drunk and did some stupid shite doesn't mean everyone else is doing that.

It's just a social law and it creates a divide between the people and the police when unjust laws are being enforced. Yet I am very big on DUI laws. Theft, murder and so forth, I'm very harsh. Actual justice.

If the police go in there and they don't enforce social laws, and they instead start enforcing and catching people for real crimes, in time the people will change their attitudes towards them. Arrest the dude that stole your shite last week. Arrest the guy that stole that Amazon package. Do actual police work.

LSU will also reportedly crack down on disorderly conduct and firearms on campus. This includes smoking marijuana, and anyone found in violation will be detained if caught.

LSU’s roster is going to be decimated.
