There was a guy named Jimbo running the offense.
He even stayed for a couple years after the great Lord Saban left for the NFL.
I'm fairly certain Jimbo didn't need to be sold on LSU any more than Mullen needed to be sold on Florida.
The reason Jimbo didn't come is because our AD, boosters, whoever let it leak like crazy which put a lot of pressure on Jimbo *before the season was even over* and Jimbo's seat wasn't remotely warm at FSU. It's not an easy sell to leave FSU, where the path to the CFP is usually easier and you've got the same talent pool as the SEC.
Fast forward 12 months and now Jimbo finds himself at the end of FSU's first losing season since 1976. No surprise Jimbo might be more open to offers. He might want to get out while the gettin' is good.
