What exactly do you want them to drop?

They honestly believe they are untouchable. They are a founding member and can do as they want. The SEC would “never” make an example of them. I think they actually believe that tripe

I'm confused as to why you're convinced the SEC would do anything to LSU.

Let's assume I am, explain to me why the SEC would do anything to LSU in particular. LSU didn't cause this mess. It started in Colorado, it's happening in multiple states besides Louisiana. Your basketball team has a literal pro on its roster.

Why is LSU the boogeyman in your opinion?

Just so you’re aware….this is what you’re going to deal with by having Lane as your coach. Both opposing fans and the media will ALWAYS point towards lane regardless of how many other teams/coaches are doing the exact same thing.

It comes with the territory of Lane always wanting media attention. It has its pros and its cons. This is the annoying con.

Our BB team picked up a player to replace Warren because we don't think he will be available.

The “pro” is in the portal. Do you believe that is an accident?

LSU is not fighting other SEC institutions. There are other schools trying to get players eligible and doing the same thing.
Lane and LSU are being scapegoated like they are the only one bc Lane/LSU get clicks.

This week 15 SEC members voted in favor of instituting penalties for playing former pro players. One did not. That school was LSU.

The SEC joined the Big Ten on Tuesday in its unanimous opposition to athletes leaving the NFL and returning to college teams, swiftly passing a new conference rule that gives commissioner Greg Sankey full authority to enforce it "with penalties." During an in-person meeting with league presidents, chancellors and athletic directors, the SEC took it even further than the Big Ten, prohibiting anyone who has previously declared for professional basketball from rejoining college athletics without appropriately withdrawing. Sources told ESPN's Pete Thamel the vote to implement the policy was 16-0 -- an important show of unity from conference leaders at a time when some of their own coaches are attempting to add players who were cut from professional teams.

No, I think he's protecting himself in case the injunction doesn't work. But lets not pretend A&M removed him from the team or something.

I get that part, I understand why fans have a bias and maybe even media. But the conference itself has no reason to blackball LSU like many here are desperately wishcasting.

I think everyone is protecting themselves in case he isn't available, but A&M wouldn't have signed him if they thought there wasn't a decent chance he'd play.

The rumors about Lane and/or LSU contacting these players specifically for the lawsuits could have something to do with that.

The one dissenter is LSU. Informal vote 16-0. Then the LSU President gets his marching orders and it is 15-1.

We're apparently the only ones who know how to read. The rest of y'all are just lapping up your boomerbook news and wishcasting for the SEC to hammer LSU when other schools actually have pros on their rosters (aggy and horn most notably)

LSU voted for the rule, they abstained from the vote on penalties.
