Sorry man i dont think so sure the rivalry has slowed down some but we frickin playin each other since 1901, alabama and auburn its brother against brother but Bama and Tennessee Very very heated rivalry, for example
ARDMORE, AL and Ardmore, Tenn
the towns' loyalties are split almost evenly between the University of Alabama and the University of Tennessee.
This is the beauty of Southern football - border towns with split loyalties, fans who make friendly bets, fans who show their spirit before and after the games.

LSU/Bama Rivalry?
If Alabama fans on this web-site want to act like beating LSU is no big deal...that's their prerogative...
Their radio callers suggest otherwise
No one said beating LSU was not a big deal just your question was is it a rivalry? Every Bama poster is trying to point out that we have traditional foes such as UT and AU that take that position on our schedule. If the level of competition continues with Bama and LSU then who knows but (showing my age) up until 2003 it was not there.

The problem here is that when Saban is gone from Alabama then this whole talk will fade away......The rivalry is LSU vs Saban and vice versa.....the University of Alabama has little, if anything, to do with it
^^^this^^^
now, Auburn on the other hand...for me at least, that's a different story.

I don't know what other Bama fans are saying but my rivalry list goes like this :
Auburn > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > LSU > > > Florida (SECCG history) > > > > > > > > Tenn
I don't consider us having any more rivals.

LSU/Bama is sort of like UGA/Aubie. They don't really hate each other, they are like brothers, and one day out of the year the brothers get into a fight and one of them kicks the others arse. Historically, Bama has kicked LSU's arse more, so Bama holds the position of big brother. Ergo, LSU wants to try and entice a hateful rivalry so Bama won't be the big brother of the rivalry.
