We were ok with it, it's a shite bowl in a shite city (just my opinion). I realize that most teams played in crap conditions. To
say that we are ok with some crap bowl is acceptible is inaccurate, we want to be in the title hunt, nothing less. Will we get there? Only time will tell, but one thing for sure is that we are making the strides that are needed to get to that level. I understand that LSU was disappointed in being in the Cap One Bowl, but saying that we were thrilled to be in the liberty bowl is a bit ignorant.

umm.. I actually didn't mind it. would rather Cotton Bowl last year but Cap One was the only other legit bowl I thought we would get. better than Outback vs. Northwestern or the fricking Peach Bowl. got to play against JoePa/Penn State.. which was cool.

Yeah even though we lost, it was a good game. Not to take anything away from Penn St. cuz they beat us fair and square, but I still contend if the field was in better condition we woulda won...

I hear that, I think the Cotton Bowl is much better, the Cap One Bowl is kind of a crap bowl, the money is good but it's a bad venue.

They have some good BBQ. But I was refering to the Liberty Bowl, that side of the city, not Memphis as a whole. And you're sadly mistaken even if i was talking about Memphis as a whole. I have been there, done that, and it's a crap hole. But good BBQ and some good music, outside of that...blah. It's just my opinion though.

Speaking of, I was watching the Boise game tonight and there is a potatoes ad on the Idaho field and there were loads of potato commercials. Glad to be from the south where I can watch Bed Lite commercials!

I stopped watching when Boise went up 21-0 in the first quarter. Makes me sick that Boise gets so much mention playing high school teams, and then looking like a good high school team in beating them.

I know man. Those ESPN commentators were on their knees the entire time. Then they had Tim Brown in there basically campaigning for them to play in a NC game. There is a reason why they play on Friday nights and not Saturdays and you said it-- high school.
Put them in the SEC and they wouldn't survive. Too much speed and size. They were raving about a 260lb. defensive lineman. That shite doesn't fly in the SEC. He doesn't have a chance.
