When there are 3 teams that can win it you go with the one with the easiest schedule. Arky has the hardest. They play at LSU and at Bama. They also have USC while Bama and LSU avoid them.

LSU has to go to Bama and has some challenges OOC. I could also see them losing in Knoxville just because.

Bama has the 14-0 MNC schedule this year. Two tough road games against rebuilding teams in UF, and PSU. Saban has Petrino's number and LSU and AU are Saban's revenge games. He has a ridiculous record in those.

I think Arky might actually have the best team this year, but will not overcome that schedule and neither will LSU.

Arky looked average too, except that the average WRs caught everything the average QB threw. Our guy cant do that underhanded with no defense. UGA has great QB and I think Richt gets it together this year.

We hear this every year, and it rarely happens.

Vandy fan likes to look big picture. Unfortunately, in the SEC big picture is usually right

I think beating UO could give LSU a ton of confidence and really help them gel early in the year. Also, let's not play like WVA is a power. They're a good football team, but they're nothing special. LSU also gets AR at home, and has a bye the week before Bama. I'll take LSU and their experience at QB (although not a great bunch, they have won big games on the road) with a damned good defense to beat UA in Tuscaloosa. LSU wins the West IMO.

I apologize for the insulting accusation Here's a more appropriate link, i guess.

Apology accepted. And that's a funny link...but I'm not a Bama fan either.

I didn't think logic was allowed here. Solid post.

I just can't see Miles beating Saban two years straight especially in T-town. I could actually see this game getting ugly for LSU. When Saban gets beat he usually puts the beat down on teams the next year.

UGA loss 07=Blackout 31-0 in 08
AUB loss 07= 36-0 beat down
SECG loss 08= Made Urban's arse quit 09

He is one of those people that hates the agony of defeat more so than the thrill of victory.

Bama also has their bye week before LSU. He will give one of those epic "make their arse quit" speeches like he did during the 08 LSU game.

He has yet to "Beat down LSU" even in 08. That game went to OT.

In 09 we all know that story... not the damn INT part, the injury part.

Point is, he hasn't really proven he can "beat us down" Every single game in the series between Miles and Saban has been close.

Actually, The Tide's schedule this year may prove to be their downfall, just as it was last year.

When Alabama won it all in 2009, they played probably the toughest schedule in the country, with ten bowl teams IIRC.

Last year, their cupcake-laden schedule did nothing to prepare them for their three toughest opponents, all losses.

We could see the same thing this year.

If Alabama had a QB worth a shite, they would have blown out LSU in 2009. McElroy literally missed three or four WIDE open receivers for easy touchdowns in that game. He also threw that ill-advised pass that should have been a pick for PP. McElroy was absolutely horrible that game but since he won thanks to the great team around him and some favorable officiating, he is a "winner".

Oh please. LSU and UA are 2-2 the last four years, and if Ryan Perriloux hadn't lost his mind Saban might be looking at an ofer vs his old job.

Two can play that game.

Alabama will beat the dog shite out of LSU this season. The game won't be close. Seriously.

The games I'm concerned about are Arkansas and South Carolina (if Garcia is QB).

Nothing personal LSU fans, but if you think your team can hang with 'Bama this year, you're in for a harsh reality lesson.

yeah, like this game won't be close. Just look at the last 4 years. It will be a dogfight again this year.
