Remember that thread I made about Alabama fans freaking out?
...Yeah... All I posted were official defense rankings and they are losing their shite
Why ruin a good argument with facts though..
Very weak. This is actually a good conversation about the comparative and predictive value of various stats. No need to ruin with the "they scared" crap.

What?
Alabama scored 31 offensive pts vs Western Kentucky
Alabama scored 41 offensive pts vs Kent State
Alabama scored 27 offensive pts vs Ole Miss
Alabama scored 27 offensive pts vs Kentucky
Alabama scored 27 offense pts vs A&M
But other than all that great post. You only shorted them like 10 PPG

Trying to think, what is a normal amount of offensive drives a team gets in a game?
15 against USCw (1 end of half)
13 against Western Kentucky (1 end of game)
13 against Ole Miss (1 end of game)
12 against Kent State (1 end of half, 1 end of game)
10 against Kentucky (1 end of game)
13 against Arkansas (1 end of half)
13 against Tennessee (1 end of half, 1 end of game)
12 against Texas A&M (1 end of half, 1 end of game)
If Alabama has scored 12 NOTs on the year, that's 12 offensive drives that didn't exist. That's about 1 entire game's worth of offensive drives.

If you would take off those crimson shades you might see where I said "your OFFENSE scored"...
Meaning touchdowns.

You realize that field goals are included in "offensive points", right?

I posted pure numbers and ranks.
It was your fellow Bama fans who got offended and ruined the thread.

Does it add to points per game, sure.
Is it the offense doing the scoring against the defense? Nope, it is not.
ETA:
Some teams have kickers who can kick 55 yarders. Meaning all the offense has to do is make it to the 40ish yard line... stalling out at the 40 isn't very good offense, yet it could still lead to points.

According to basically anyone who talks about football it is.
However, if you'd like to strip FGs out might as well remove point after conversion attempts as well.

We ain't going to have anything left of this carcass.

You just don't understand stats with your crimson Oakleys on.

Well that's dumb...
The point after is a direct result of the offense succeeding.
A field goal is a direct result of the offense failing.
Argue against that for me bud... I'll wait

A field goal is the result of the offense successfully reaching territory to score points, just not the maximum amount of points.
An extra point is a failure because you could get 2 points but you only got 1.
Sounds legit

yeah I'm done here.
You clearly couldn't argue with what I said, so you decided to make completely illogical and ignorant comments...
Nice work bud

So as long as kick a field goal we can extend our string of Non Offensive Scoring?
Nice

His stats are wrong anyway, what else is he hiding?
Going by his rules of FG's being failures and acting as if NOTs don't count, Alabama scored 21, not 20 on A&M.

You can bend my words however you'd like boss... I proved my point, and since you can't present a valid counterpoint, you've gone with irrational sarcasm.
Nice

Wisconsin was #1 last season and Alabama and Henry destroyed them. Why should LSU get credit for getting fricked by them this year?
