If UK could still get to a BCS game and get SEC money they would schedule 12 patsy games.
By the way UK acts they are afraid to play in the SEC. They make it sound like they play Alabama every week. They forget that they play teams like Vanderbilt, Miss State, and Tennessee every year, not exactly powerhouse teams.
As a Florida fan you should love it, UK is completely intimidated by you, they have lost before they even get on the field against the Gators. As you found out in the Sugar Bowl though, just because we are in Kentucky doesn't mean we are like them. They try to schedule gimme games to get to 6 - 6, we will play anyone, anywhere, anytime. We might not always win, in fact in the early Schnellenberger years we lost a lot more than we won, but we aren't intimidated by anyone.
Not sure if serious.

My god, Louisville beat Florida and they talk out their arse. Congratulations on the win, I really do mean that. But one amazing year in sports does not equal you as some power school.
I wish you all the best in the ACC.

You do realize the Vols are #2 all time in the SEC behind only Alabama. You don't build the largest stadium in the SEC being a non powerhouse team. Vols have multiple national championships under multiple coaches.
Not only is UK a SEC member but they were a charter member and the first president of the SEC was the representative from UK. Your dumbassery and lack of basic knowledge of football is apparent by how you structure your arguments. Perhaps you should read up on Vandy's football power as well as they have over a dozen conference championships. The longhorns play Oklahoma at the State Fair every year because early on they could not beat Vanderbilt there.
Louisville in the SEC would fare worse than UK because of the game they play. If you can not accept that then you are too clueless to understand basic math, the standard bell curve, and how hard it is to remain in the top 10% of said bell curve.

And they really aren't #2 overall either, we have twice as much championship hardware.

I mean if they want to play anyone, anywhere why didn't they pump up their OOC SoS knowing the Big East has been down and was going to implode?
What kept them from scheduling Western Kentucky themselves? Have they even played them since they moved up?

Unlike UK we aren't afraid to play SEC opponents.
That's why Louisville is playing Kentucky... plus Ohio, Eastern Kentucky, and FIU in the OOC this season.
If Louisville isn't scared to play SEC teams, schedule Alabama or LSU, not Kentucky.

They scurred. They'd rather play Eastern Kentucky.

Historically dumbass.
Vols were over 100K back in the 90's when Kyle was closer in size to where UK is now. I know you want to troll but focus on the Card troll first.

Louisville would be a great addition to the SEC
Maybe with next 2 programs, if that ever happens

Settle down Sparky. Vols were winning MNC's when the Gators were still messin their drawers. I give the Gators full credit starting with Charlie Pell but before that they were no threat in the SEC power structure. You guys are still the new kids on the championship block and have a far, far distance to go till you displace Alabama.

Not gonna happen. Kentucky wont let it happen and it doesn't add a new market. The SEC wants new tv markets. The SEC already has the Louisville market since half of those that live in Louisville are Kentucky fans.

One time. We have more titles and hardware.

Meh. Kentucky and Louisville are both basketball schools. College basketball is boring, and if we wanted to add a basketball school, UNC and Duke are both better options in every way imaginable.

How many MNCs do each school have? Just out of curiosity.

now you know how most of us UofL fans feel when we pay our taxes (you know, since without Louisville and Northern Kentucky, most of the rest of the state would probably still only have dirt roads).
Louisville is a crime infested shithole. Those who live and work in Lexington make more money and have to deal with far less crime. I'd rather have dirt roads than walk through parts of the city of Louisville.
No offense, Belle.

MNC does not equal NC (that is why it is "mythical")
SEC schools by MNC - BCS MNC in BOLD
(15) Alabama = 1925, 1926, 1930, 1934, 1941, 1961, 1964, 1965, 1973, 1978, 1979, 1992, 2009, 2011, 2012
(6) Tennessee = 1938, 1940, 1950, 1951, 1967, 1998
(5) Georgia = 1927, 1942, 1946, 1968, 1980
(4) Georgia Tech = 1917, 1928, 1952, 1990 (3 before they joined the ACC)
(3) Florida = 1996, 2006, 2008
(3) LSU = 1958, 2003, 2007
(3) Mississippi = 1959, 1960, 1962
(3) Texas A&M = 1919, 1927, 1939 (in the old SWC)
(2) Auburn = 1957, 2010 (I would argue for the year they got denied with TT)
(1) Arkansas = 1964 (in the old SWC)
(1) Kentucky = 1950 (before the Bear went to Bama)
I will grant you the Gators the more recent success but the Vols were winning across long periods of history and the Gators did not get their first MNC till the 90's. If the Vols ever right their ship they could easily return to their historic position. The Gators will still have to compete in state with the other Florida schools like FSU.
