It baffles me that Louisville did not go to the Big12.
For what the SEC wanted to accomplish, Mizzou was the right call.
For you haters, last year was the worst-worst-worst case scenario in nearly every way for the football team. No we're not a powerhouse, but we're far better than that. Not even Alabama would have been Alabama with the issues Mizzou had last year, that is a fact.

Please stop talking.
It amazes me that so many people hold opinions that are fueled by comments they read on the internet that were made by equally clueless people.

That's a very good point about where the money is coming from that I had not thought of before. I wonder how this will play out in the future.

give me mizzou a 1000 times over louisville.

8 > 3
This shows UK at their best here, having to try to denigrate their opponent to make themselves feel better about their own accomplishment. Notice how BluegrassBelle has to bring up something that happened 50 years in the PAST because she has nothing to counter it with in the present.
It would also be good for all the other SEC fans to know that some of these numbers are not what they seem. Lets look at this supposed 14 - 11 edge in football BluegrassBelle boasts about (I will bold UofL wins):
1912 - UK - 41 UofL - 0
1913 - UK - 20 UofL - 0
1914 - UK - 42 UofL - 0
1915 - UK - 15 UofL - 0
1922 - UK - 63 UofL - 0
1924 - UK - 29 UofL - 0
1994 - UK - 20 UofL - 14
1995 - UofL - 13 UK - 10
1996 - UofL - 38 UK - 14
1997 - UK - 38 UofL - 24
1998 - UK - 68 UofL - 34
1999 - UofL - 56 UK - 28
2000 - UofL - 30 UK - 24
2001 - UofL - 36 UK - 10
2002 - UK - 22 UofL - 17
2003 - UofL - 40 UK - 24
2004 - UofL - 28 UK - 0
2005 - UofL - 31 UK - 24
2006 - UofL - 59 UK - 28
2007 - UK - 40 UofL - 34
2008 - UK - 27 UofL - 2
2009 - UK - 31 UofL - 27
2010 - UK - 23 UofL - 16
2011 - UofL - 24 UK - 17
2012 - UofL - 32 UK - 14
Now I'm sure most of you noticed a trend here. UK has to count 6 games that occured before World War II to have this series lead. Once again UK has to go deep in the past to make an argument. Must be sad having to still live in the 10s, 20s, and 50s and not being able to live off the present. UofL was not an athletic school at all during this time and the games from 1915-1924 involved UofL teams that would essentially be intramural teams today. Really BluegrassBelle, you really think people are going to respect UK when they count wins over intramural teams.
So fine BluegrassBelle, UK dominated UofL in the 1910s and 1920s back before Nazi Germany had even come to power. The fact is, in the true modern day football series, you know, when modern equipment has been used (not leather helmets), UofL leads the football series 11 - 7, and that includes the horrible Kragthorpe years. After this year it will be 12 - 7 and in 2016 it will be 15 - 7 (meaning those games in the 1910s and 1920s won't even help you anymore.)
Signed,
A Sugar Bowl winer in the modern era.
A team that can beat a UF team that UK hasn't beat in 26 years!
Modern day series leader in football (11 - 7)
3 Time Men's Basketball Champion (and we didn't have to cheat to win them)
2 Time Women's Basketball Runner Up (UK - 0 Women's Final Fours)
2 Time BCS Champion (UK - 0 BCS Games)
1 Time College World Series Participant (UK - 0 College World Series Appearances)
3 Time College World Series Super Regional Participant and still playing this year. (UK - 0 Super Regionals and didn't even make the tournament)
Please UK, at least try to keep up. :)

How many alters are you going to create to try to make a point?
Comparing Louisville and Kentucky is dumb, why, conference affiliation and schedule.
Louisville in football plays in the Big East/ACC, not exactly know for power football at any level (some apology to FSU) and they haven't even joined there yet.
Louisville can win it's conference without playing a top 50 school. In the fairness era of BCS, that allows for schools who dont' deserve it to play in BCS games. Get over yourself.
I give Louisville credit for accomplishments more than most UK fans, but don't be ridiculous in your posts about how good Louisville is. Put any SEC team in that conference and they dominate.

I mean if we're going to pick and choose time frames, I guess you win. Sorry your program can't sustain success for an extended period of time.
Posted on 6/8/13 at 1:50 pm to BluegrassBelle
Yep I'm sorry I live in the present and don't live in the pre World War II days. There is a difference between picking and choosing time frames and realizing that the UofL back then hardly resembles what UofL is now. The fact is those games mean nothing, it was UK essentially playing a UofL intramural team, whether you like it or not. Again BluegrassBelle you have to live in the past, we can live in the present.
Gonna be sweet when we beat Vandy in the Super Regionals and make it back to the College World Series. What Super Regional is UK in again?

Say what you want, UK would not have won the Big East one year that we were in it. UK would not have beaten WVU or Rutgers in 2005, didn't beat us in 2006, wouldn't have beaten WVU in 2007, wouldn't have beaten Cincinnati or UConn in the years they won the conference, and didn't beat us the last 2 years.
If you really believe UK would dominate in any other league, fine, lets switch. Unlike UK we aren't afraid to play SEC opponents. You go and play in the AAC this year and the ACC every year after. Guaranteed UK never sniffs the ACC Title Game, and in basketball UK wouldn't have the easy schedule they have now in the SEC.

I didn't know 3 basketball championships in my lifetime was living in "World War II days". Did Louisville just not put a team on the court in that span that I'm not aware of?

So that year we beat #8 Louisville and #1 LSU, but wouldn't beat WVU. You need to stop, you are embarrassing yourself.

That's exactly what I'm saying, our team that year ended up out of the top 25 at 6 - 6 and not going to a bowl. That was a Kragthorpe team, which should say it all. Needless to say though, that win didn't look nearly as impressive at the end of the year. That #1 LSU team also lost at home to Arkansas, the team was probably the worst national title team in the BCS era.
You forget that WVU that year beat Oklahoma who was far better than UK was. That UK team also lost to pretty mediocre Tennessee and South Carolina teams that year. So yes, IMO, UK does not beat WVU that year.

If UK could still get to a BCS game and get SEC money they would schedule 12 patsy games.
By the way UK acts they are afraid to play in the SEC. They make it sound like they play Alabama every week. They forget that they play teams like Vanderbilt, Miss State, and Tennessee every year, not exactly powerhouse teams.
As a Florida fan you should love it, UK is completely intimidated by you, they have lost before they even get on the field against the Gators. As you found out in the Sugar Bowl though, just because we are in Kentucky doesn't mean we are like them. They try to schedule gimme games to get to 6 - 6, we will play anyone, anywhere, anytime. We might not always win, in fact in the early Schnellenberger years we lost a lot more than we won, but we aren't intimidated by anyone.

Kentucky routinely has one of the top schedules in the country in terms of SoS. Please switch back to your other screen name. He at least humored us with his trolling.
ETA: And a UofL "fan" talking schedule smack with that shite show you're playing this year for your Rent-A-BCS-Bowl is even better.
