Wow USMC you aren't listening to me, I'm not debating SOS. I know UF wins that battle being in the SEC. What I'm saying is that SEC schools have no right to trash UofL for SOS when UofL has contacted every SEC school about playing them and no SEC school outside UK will play us.
If we were dodging good teams and intentionally playing bad opponents then you could talk. The fact is though we have an incredibly hard time finding good teams that will play us. Even with that said, we have played teams like North Carolina, Miami, Florida State, Kansas State, and Oregon State in recent years.
There is a big difference between playing bad teams because good teams won't schedule you and avoiding good teams.

You don't think schools have already tried? If they thought Jurich was available, they would've tried already. So sorry, he wouldn't leave for those schools, he likes it just fine here.
He's from California. If UCLA or USC offered, he'd certainly listen.
Alabama and Florida have definitely not inquired about him.
Don't know about the others.

Of course it's a good problem to have, I doubt anyone wants UK's AD.
There's been plenty of interest in him.

You also brought up the FCS thing, don't y'all play an FCS team every year as well?

So then how did Boise State manage to get a SEC team on their OOC schedule? They were a far better squad then what UofL has fielded as of late.
I think your AD just isn't doing enough to get decent teams on your schedule. At least that's how it looks from here. Especially when you're not willing to improve the quality of the lower tier teams on your schedule (i.e. substitute WKU for EKU).

They play Eastern Kentucky.

And what's the excuse for not having teams better than Eastern Kentucky in your OOC this year. You really think anyone truly believes someone like Western Kentucky didn't want to play you? Or that Jurich couldn't make an offer to a better team that they couldn't refuse like Boise State did Georgia?
Honestly no, I believe that those were the teams that Jurich could schedule. We need to play home and homes to help fund the football program and other athletic programs. Sure some SEC schools would play us if we traveled to their place with no return game, but that's not going to happen. If you noticed Boise State got no return game from Georgia, they got to play in the Georgia Dome which was essentially a UGA home game, Jurich isn't going to do that.

2013- UofL- 33 UF- 23...and it wasn't even that close. Guess all that tough scheduling was a waste of time.

So you're saying that you guys really won't play anybody, anywhere then?
Glad we could come full circle.

Still finished higher in both polls.

Yes we play some FCS opponents and I don't like it and I wish we didn't, sadly I'm not Jurch.
The point is though, you UF and UK fans think we can just schedule anybody, who can we schedule? Or let me guess, you just want UofL to play only 4 or 5 home games a year and travel to other schools with no return game. Sorry, doesn't work like that.

Actually it does if you want to improve your SoS enough that you'll actually have a shot at a mNC.

Silence fools. We contacted Alabama, Texas A&M and Wisconsin. On a side note I love how ESPN lumped UK into our "weak OOC schedule" LMAOLMAO!! Know your place kitties.
Read it an weep

My point was that you shouldn't call out other teams for playing FCS schools when y'all do the same thing. Only Notre Dame, Stanford, and USC don't.

As a fan base we will play anybody, anywhere. With that said, Jurich has to look at the business side of things. The question remains though, should we not be allowed to host home and homes? That's essentially what you're saying, that we should only play 4 or 5 home games a year and go on the road for the rest of them.
The fact is UofL will play anybody anywhere, at our place, at their place, at a neutral site, but if we play a game at their place it's only customary to play a game at our place.
Again what are we supposed to do about teams like Georgia, Georgia Tech, and Wisconsin, who had series scheduled with us and then cancelled? What are we supposed to do?

Bitch, we know our place. You don't know yours.
The fact of the matter is that you wouldn't do any better than us if you were in the SEC, but you'll never get the chance.
After your big bowl win, you're still only recruiting a very slight bit better than us. We even took Jason Hatcher out of your backyard.

Okay?
Still doesn't explain why you couldn't raise the bar of that terrible schedule by subbing in some better lower-tier teams. Of course those guys aren't going to add you when they have some of the toughest schedules in the country already.

Not the Georgia Tech of old. Doesn't help your SOS much.

Unless you're trying to add to your SoS and that means sometimes you have to compromise.
If we can play Western Kentucky in Nashville of all places, I'm sure you all could manage.

Actually USMC that's what you were doing to us and that's why I was calling you out. You were the one who brought up the scheduling issue. You were trashing us for a bad schedule when you play FCS teams and other nobody OOC's. The fact is you have the advantage of the SEC. Now once we get into the ACC we will have very competitive schedules, but don't blame us for the horrible schedule we have this year, there was really nothing we could do.
