did i say he paid the enitre cost with that money? 5500 is plenty for a down payment and a couple months payments left over. it's not like his parents didn't somehow manage to put his older brother through school plus his scholarship money. was terrel getting these perks too at louisiana-lafayette?

So if I have $5000, I can go put it down on a $40k vehicle and drive off in it, even if I don't have any other income?

$5500 is probably enough for just the rims alone

The Yukon presents Bama far more problems that the suit store ever did. Just is no real way TR could afford it on his own...even with loans.

I get a kick out of all of these explanations and theories about how TR could afford a 40k luxury SUV. Guy is clearly living beyond his means. It's not just the car payment he would have to afford, it's the full coverage insurance he would be required to have on a financed vehicle, as well as putting fuel in that gas guzzler. Add in those costs and please explain to me how he can afford this car.

this is 2011 custom rims don't cost remotely close to what you think they do... you can find 24's rims and tires for well under 2000. just check your local craigslist if you don't believe me

The reality is, this is going on everywhere and there is some way people are getting away with it. Not sure how, but I don't see this going anywhere. Hell, TR's car may be completely legit, but it certainly raises questions (especially to those who aren't Bama fans and want to believe).

Wonder what kind of credit rating you'd have to to have to do that?!

Yea, POS rims. I couldn't find some decent 18'' rims for 2,000$ back when I got my car

I have no doubt it happens everywhere. Just found out that players I worked with who were getting students too...maybe not have been able to get them after all.

The world you live in and many of us live in that same world. We go to work every morning. We pay our bills on time. We put money in savings and in retirement funds. But many people in this world somehow get by on unemployment, credit cards, high intrest loans and foodstamps. So its hard to say how they can afford the things they do.

buying used rims seems stupid. you can't tell how they're going to ride until after they're on the car.
