no chance we even get close to that score

Several models have us predicted to score 50+

I agree, 59 is a stretch, but we will score points - and a lot of them. Especially if LSU's offense can't sustain drives. With the absence of T. Marshall, they're going to have to get creative with how they control the tempo to keep us off the field.

This game will be closer than you think.

Of course he is. He said last year he wish he would have never left LSU.

I'm generally precious conservative and cautious on these things and I truly do not think that it will. At all. A team that can't run the ball, can't pass protect, and has 2 not ready true freshmen QBs is not keeping the game close with this Alabama team.........and that's if they play great defense. LSU, at their very best, plays average defense.

Outside of Alabama all of a sudden fumbling 4 times and throwing 2 pick 6s.........there is a 0.0% chance LSU can score anywhere near enough to keep up with even a slowed down Alabama offense.

LSU won’t win but it won’t be a blowout.

Doubtful. Bama will be playing with backups in the 3rd quarter.

You should put 10k on the Tide then.

Ok, explain it to us.

What does this semi-close game look like? What does LSU do to keep the game close - both on offense and defense? Maybe there is a path out there that I'm not seeing.

From the Sun-Sentinel:

It was the worst loss in LSU's 100 years of football - the Tigers lost 63-9 at Texas A&M in 1914 - and the first time an opponent scored 50 points at Tiger Stadium, which opened in 1923. Half of LSU's fans were gone before the fourth quarter began.

LSU began as if it might give the Gators a game. The Tigers forced UF to punt on its first possession, then marched 61 yards on 10 plays, taking a 3-0 lead on a 29-yard field goal by Andre Lafleur.

Recap

It was games like this in the early and mid 90's that made the 1997 LSU upset of #1 Florida such a big deal.

Good to see they've been consistent over the years.

I agree transitive property can be very misleading and overstated in football. But come on - the above is at least a little telling no?

What’s your score prediction? You guys sometimes consider 5 point wins blowouts, while other times consider 14 point losses as a moral win for LSU (2017).
