He's gotten better at every stop and in year 6 had Ole Miss looking like Kirby had UGA in his 6th season.
You do remember that Kirby/Georgia played for the National Championship in year 2, right?

Averaging 3 losses over 6 seasons at Ole Miss is unheard of.
Ok. And Kelly was the all time winningest coach at ND...a bonafide blue blood. How did that type of comparison work out for you?
quote:I couldn't care less about Deboer.
Compare that to Deboer who averaged 1.5 losses at UW and had taken a massive step back at UA despite inheriting the best roster in CFB.
I am just responding to the posters saying the SEC is horrible and moving in reverse because of the better coaches averaging 4 losses a season, when your coach has averaged 3.78 (rounding up to 4) losses a season. I mean, you could at least try not to look hypocritical.

The stadium is literally named the Rose Bowl. So, yes LSU has indeed played in the Rose Bowl. What you’re referring to is the Rose Bowl Game.
This whole thread is about the playoffs. The poster is making fun of Alabama over THE Rose Bowl, the post season game. Most would be able to bridge that gap. Some, but not all. Context is important.
LSU has played in the stadium. LSU has never played in the Rose Bowl that we are discussing.

What’s the list of coaches who got beat by 35+? Even Sumrall kept it to 31 with Tulane.

I will add some more facts that support that Kiffin has a loooonnnggg way to go before being mentioned alongside Kirby Smart.
Years as a power 4 head coach:
Kiffin: 11 (4 at a certified blue blood, a fifth at a fringe blue blood)
Smart: 10 (all at the school previously known as 1980)
Playoff appearances:
Kiffin: 0
Smart: 5
Times they have burned bridges when changing jobs:
Kiffin: 5
Smart: 0
Times fired by Nick Saban:
Kiffin: 1/1 - (fired by Saban at Alabama)
Smart: 0/3 (not fired by Saban at LSU, Miami Dolphins, Alabama)
Lane Kiffin has had the following first year record at his other 3 P4 jobs: 7-6, 8-5, 5-5.
That is a lot of 5s, I expect LSU’s record will again contain a 5 this year.

Here are the ten biggest point differentials in CFP history. You can look up the coaches from this. Oregon and Alabama check in on both sides; biggest winner and biggest loser - and by the same team.
Georgia/TCU: 65-7, 58 points
Oregon/Florida State: 59-20, 39 points
Alabama/Michigan State: 38-0; 38 points
LSU/Oklahoma: 63-28; 35 points
Indiana/Alabama: 38-3; 35 points
Indiana/Oregon: 56-22; 34 points
Clemson/Ohio State: 31-0, 31 points
Ole Miss/Tulane: 41-10; 31 points
Penn State/SMU: 38-10; 28 points
Alabama/Ohio State: 52-24; 28 points
Clemson/Alabama: 44-16, 28 points
Es Orgeron and Pete Golding show up on the left hand side of this list, while Urban Meyer, Nick Saban and Ryan Day all show up on the right hand side.

Brian Kelly had transfer classes ranked #4, #3, and last year #1.
Sorry for everyone else yawning as LSU fans celebrate their latest transfer class.

You seemed pretty interested in LSU's transfer class when you perceived they weren't doing well early.

I just pointed out how well they have done too.
Of course it hasn’t mattered on the field.

I'm not sure if you are aware of this or not based on your recent posts, but Brain Kelly is no longer the coach at LSU.

I haven't celebrated at all. He wasn't even my first choice. I thought we were presenting unbiased facts here. Maybe I was wrong.

He hasn't even coached one game yet. Jesus Christ.
