it's utah...most bama fans predicted to win by 20+

its the equivilent of us getting, f.i., our asses kicked by a boise state or fresno state in their good year...

we have a right to laugh, make jokes, etc...dont worry, it will all subside after a good long while

Big difference between the championship game and the Sugar Bowl.

I'm pulling for Bama. Some of this may be as you say but I think the enjoyment for most is in response to the jackassry shown by too many Bama posters here.

That happens all the time, at least for sensible fans. In '06 we were cheering for Arkansas to beat Auburn, and in '04 we were cheering for Bama and Arkansas to beat them. It's quite often advantageous to our team to have another team beat a team to which we lost.

I'm of the opinion this is such an occassion. Another bowl win would not help the SEC perception enough that the residual boost to LSU would outweigh the potential gain of a dangerous SEC-West rival suffering an embarassing loss that could impact recruiting for a couple of years.

Yeah, I don't really agree that rooting for a team do what "you couldn't" automatically makes you a butthurt fan.

Wasn't sure if you wanted an anti-Miles or pro-Saban, so I provided both.

I would write off the season completely and would hop on the Fire Miles bandwagon. same here

You would rank Miles over Saban here?

Seriously?

you get points for deception.

Is Saban a better coach than Miles? Absolutely! Anybody who says otherwise is deluded.

That being said, I prefer Miles. . .

The 1st post was more in response to a hypothetical, which was "What if Miles brings back the Co-DC's".

Leaving out information is as good as lying.

I meant the ones that post here.

I don't really care about what goes on on other boards.

Do Cowboy fans pull for Redskins?
Do Yankee fans pull for the Red Sox?
Do Bulls fans pull for the Pistons?

Those are all true rivels.

I pulled for Ole Piss today, which is our true rival.
