I'm sure John Clay writes some interesting articles from time to time, but this one sounds as if the Kentucky fan in him got the best of his journalist side. I say this presuming he is not always a blind homer since I haven't read any of his previous articles. It is certainly no news that this LSU basketball team is terrible but, for Clay, not only does this game apparently atone for a 49-0 loss to LSU in football a few years ago, but its also an "in your face" because of Mary Landrieu's deal with the US Senate that preceded her voting for health care. (I don't like Landrieu's shenanigans, but I don't see the LSU correlation) Clay is really all over the map in the article, and its not hard to imagine him patting himself on the back with glee while writing it. The only thing he surprisingly didn't do was mention however many national titles Kentucky has won in basketball compared to LSU's zero.

That's a lame excuse, and I would guess that Clay has more integrity than that. If he didn't, it would be like saying Clay wrote this nonsense, but he doesn't really stand behind it because it was a joke.
FWIW Kentucky coach John Calipari is a lowlife POS who, on a regular basis, commits major recruiting violations then runs away like a little pussy when the NCAA puts the school he is/was at on probation. He recruits thugs to play for his teams because they mirror his own character, and they are all an embarassment to college basketball and student athletes around the country.
By the way, I was just kidding about the stuff regarding Calipari.

Yeah UK fans I've learned over the last couple of years are unusually douchebaggish. And I think they like football more than they let on and when their football team gets beat they try to use their basketball team as a pedestal to talk shite on to those teams that beat them in football.

He should act like Kentucky has been there before. Of course....most of ya'll can't remember when Kentucky was actually there before...and after you go on probation it'll be a while till you get to be there again....

Let them have their fun, Basketball is the only thing they have on us. Most would get mad, because you can easily hear the venom in his article. I just laugh because outside of basketball their athletic program is pathetic.
