you had a flash in the pan season with a once in a lifetime college QB. That is not sustainable.
If you're going to claim the ACC and SEC weren't so far apart, then provide some proof.
The SEC won 8 national titles from 2003-2012 baw. And that's with an undefeated AU being left out of the 2004 NC.
There is no denying that in that era, they were far better and top to bottom more competitive than the ACC.

That's because you came in with a roster full of BIG XII athletes, a BIG XII QB, and a BIG XII offense.

Y’all are really setting yourself up here.

It's not like we haven't seen this from Jimbo before.

Not as much as we like to pretend on here.
Then, absolutely. Now, not so much
The SEC won 7 straight national championships with 4 different programs. Only one of those 7 games was decided by one score... shite two west teams played each other for the title one year.
Most of those years any one of those 4 plus UGA were about as good as any team in CFB.
Fulmer
Saban
Meyer
Miles
^ All had NC rings and were competing against each other for a stretch. Then throw in Richt, Petrino, Chizik's year w Cam... SEC was on a different level than it is today across the board
Who are the top 5 coaches in the league right now?

I'm not saying Jimbo didn't have great success, or even that it's impossible to replicate in the SEC. I was just saying Meyers time in the SEC from 05-10 (even though I referenced the streak from 06-12) was an entirely different animal than the ACC during Jimbos time there. Jimbo wouldn't be walking into that same SEC now either though
