That was a clean pocket. I'm not sure how you can expect more than this:

LOL @ issues with arm strength
I saw a lot of issues with his arm strength on Saturday. His footwork was terrible. His arm mechanics were terrible.
Maybe you solve the last two issues and the arm strength problems go away.
Personally, I think his arm talent is pretty average.

Its not entitlement, its we blew three or four opportunities. Kinda like we just blew that last game.

He looks bad, if we lose to florida and OU id play Trey Owens

Im not optimistic about RRS or Florida after seeing what i just saw, it looked like the worst of quin we ever saw
How long do we go with elite defense and a QB who cant make a five yard pass before we start saying hey enough is enough, offense has to help us out some?

Don't worry, we still have Billy as coach.

Here’s what’s likely. He’s gonna need to put up 30 points regularly to win assuming your defense keeps teams in check. I don’t see him scoring more than 20 points a game against good teams.
Just not enough offense. You’ll be in games. But will lose with that QB.
I know bad QBs. We have had plenty. He’s bad.

30 ppg
Teams will be lucky to score 10 ppg vs this Texas defense

Yeah i dont think hell need to put up 30 cuz the defense is so good but your right about everything else
Posted on 9/1/25 at 3:35 pm to SECCaptain
Yeah the defense is realy, realy good, he wont need to score 30, but damn 7?
Give me something, jesus

Every top dog in the sport has had blown opportunities for national titles, Texas is not at all unique in this regard.

It’s called a running game. And some teams can do it. They will score points. It doesn’t take much to get four yards a carry with a legitimate line. That will score 25 points in a game. Easily

What was the expectation? For Texas to go into the shoe and blow Ohio State out? If they embarrassed themselves like Tenner did in the CFP, that would be one thing, but the overreaction to Texas losing a close game in one of the hardest road environments in CFB is absurd And that was a game Texas still could have easily won despite Arch having what is likely be a career lowlight of a game
Yeah that wasn’t a “close game”

I watched manning a few games in high school here in New Orleans. He never looked that good here. I thought it was because of the surrounding talent but that doesn’t seem to be the case at Texas! He is just not that good!

The horns believe that media can make things true.
Just advertise you are great enough and people will put you at number one.
Just sign enough media deals and Arch can’t lose.

Don't worry, you and your brethren will be on here touting Arch for the Heisman as his competition for the next 3 weeks is air. San Jose St, UTEP, Sam Houston.
I promise you, there is nothing Arch can do in his next 3 games that will get me to pump him up as a Hesiman candidate. IF (which I don't expect) he looks great in wins at UF and against OU, then I will be of the mindset that Arch just had a bad week 1, and he is back on track.
It would take Arch looking good in wins over UF, OU and UGA for me to say Arch is a legit Heisman contender. Based on what we all just witnessed, I think I am more likely to have an affair with Syndey Sweeney than Arch looking great in 3 Texas wins against UF, OU and UGA, but I hope I am proven wrong.

1st Quarter 0-0
Halftime 7-0
3rd Quarter 7-0
Final 14-7
On top of that, Texas had the ball down 7 with 2:26 left.
On top of that, Texas dominated the boxscore.
Total yards Texas 336-203
Pass yards Texas 170-126
Rush yards Texas 166-77
Rush YPC Texas 4.5-2.3
First Downs Texas 16-11
Texas had more yards in the 2nd half than OSU had in the entire game.
That is all true despite Arch having a really bad game. Gtfo that the game wasn’t close.

It was a close game.
Texas lost by 1 score after failing, again, to convert on 4th down. Texas had 2 prolonged drives with first downs inside the Ohio State 10 that accounted for zero poinst because Sark is ****ing retarded. Texas had more total passing yardage. Texas more than doubled the rushing total of Ohio State.
Arch was an abortion, but our D looks really good and kept the game close. It is possible to be honest when discussing a team you hate. You should try it.

The only points you scored were in the last four minutes of the game after Ohio State had gone into a prevent defense
It wasn’t a close game
A close game might be considered where you have the opportunity to win the game and your final possession, but you didn’t even have that you had to make a drive that you had failed to make the entire game and score a touchdown which you had failed to do for the first 57 minutes of the game, just to tie the game which you didn’t do

This doesn’t mean anything with regards to whether a game was a close game
Y’all celebrating moral victories is out of control, points or what makes a game close or not close
And you were down two touchdowns until the last few minutes of the game
