I think Fulmer wants an old school type of coach, that has been in the SEC.
So, Bert?

There was a major school that did this. Happened within the past 3 years once the school noticed they were tracking planes.

That's weird because Leach has been in the SEC, and he's definitely more of an old school hard arse than anything else. Definitely an accountibility/no BS kind of guy.

Wasn't Fulmer at the CFHOF banquet in New York last night?

Well, Fulmer did personally approve Schiano, so he definitely wants someone that will be terrible.

Yeah, I forgot he was at Kentucky. I Would have loved to have him. But I think Fulmer is thinking defense and, first and foremost.
It is what it is

1) V&S has yet another alter. Dude, do you even care how obvious it is?
2) Leach would have taken the UT plane, but it has an open cockpit and they asked him to pay for gas.

Both Peyton and Fulmer approved of the Schiano hire. He was hired. You think UT hired him without either's approval? Think about what you're saying.
Beyond that, I'm very close friends with a big UT family from Crossville, and they are great friends with Fulmer. Their box is next to Fulmer's. Fulmer did indeed approve of Schiano, and Fulmer was promised the AD job 8 months ago, like straight up told it was his. So I guess this was a little bit of poetic justice.

Peyton may have, but Fulmer sure as frick didn't. You need to get your facts straight.

Schiano was 100% a Haslam pick, and NOBODY in the Athletic department except for Currie signed off on him. Until the day after the Vanderbilt game, there were no leaks from the Athletic department, nobody knew who was gonna be the next coach.
Currie tells the Tennessee event staff on Saturday to prep for a press conference on Sunday, but still nobody knew who it was gonna be. Then on Sunday morning, Currie took the Tennessee plane to Columbus and the rest of the AD panicked because Schiano's name had been floated along with 2 other candidates, Mullen and Frost, and Schiano was the only one of the 3 that received an overwhelming negative response.
SOMEONE in the Athletic department broke Currie's rule about talking to the media and alerted Bruce Feldman, which was the first legitimate leak in 2 weeks. And all hell broke loose.
It wouldn't shock me if Fulmer was the leak, but whoever it was, it took a lot of balls to break the cone of silence.

So you're saying it was down to Schiano and Frost, and that Peyton, Fulmer and a few others approved of each, but didn't know til late in the game which was chosen? Because if you're saying Fulmer and Peyton were anti-Schiano, you're flat out wrong.

Would you want to fly all the way from Washington to Knoxville on a King Air? Would rather just get on a jet and knock the trip out.

That's not what I said, and since you're gonna twist my words, and not have an honest discussion, we're done here.

I am having an honest discussion. Both Peyton and Fulmer approved of the Schiano hire. You said Fulmer didn't. You provided your version of the events, but none of that contradicts my assertion or supports yours.
