The barn really thinks they finished second behind you guys chin, because they won "58 minutes" of the Redneck Bowl.

You guys suck, but the barn fricking swallows, damn.

Rivals and Scouts were under the impression that he had an offer from Alabama

Anyone who even halfway follows recruiting understands that there are different kinds of offers. Some are verbal and some written. Some are conditional some are not. Just because a recruit has some sort of offer from a school does not necessarily mean the offer is such that the school will take a commitment from him at any time he wishes to commit.

If Bama really wanted it they probably could've gotten and taken a commitment from him following his first visit to Bama.

Bottom line: Given Bama's LB depth, current LB commits and who they have on the board for the two remaining LB slots, Landrum took the best committable offer he had. Auburn needs LBs and he'll likely make a pretty dang good one.

The notion that Auburn outrecruited Bama for Landrum by "turning" him from being a lifelong Bama fan is delusional at best.

A solid pickup for Auburn. Congrats Aubies and best of luck to Chris Landrum.

Kind of expected this. We had a conditional offer. You always hate to lose a legacy, but I think I can live with it, if we land Curtis Grant or Trey DePriest. And 11 pages over this? He's a three LB.

Thanks... seems to be a solid pickup. He's got great size and speed. Coming from a 1A school, it's gonna take some time. Overall, he's a good pickup (regardless of who has or hasn't offered).
