Last night I had insomnia so I turned on Ole' Miss' spring game

That was about the dumbest thing I'd seen in a long time. 50 yard field? No pads? 7 on 7 with flags? Tug o' war? Dunk Contest? Hot dog eating contest? Tipsy frat boys interviewed on ESPN? It was full on Lame Kitten.

I’m an Ole Miss fan and I didn’t watch it. Lane knows how to connect with college age kids. Both Athletes and nonAthletes. It’s all kind of wierd to me but if you check the portal class rankings the last two years everything he is doing is working.

That’s good to hear. Every man needs his 7 hours. But you turned the TV on the Ole Miss Spring festivities and left it on there. Then made a thread about it the following day.

As a chronic insomniac, I'm happy if I get 5. But turning on the the most boring thing I can find on TV helps me get back to sleep most nights...

My biggest thought was if I were an Ole Miss fan, I'd be pissed at this crap. even though pretty much every spring game is a glorified scrimmage, we wait from the January until August for football season to begin. To help break up that wait, we get a couple of scraps along the way. Mainly, National Signing day and the spring game. As a fan, I just want to know how hard my guys are working and who has stood out in spring. The spring game gives that opportunity. Give us something to think about over the summer, to help us make it thru until fall. I'd argue that whatever Lane decided to do with their spring game gave us none of that.
But enjoy talking about Joey Chesnut eat hotdogs... .
