The definition of running up the score is adding points after the game is decided. That’s literally “running up the score”. For me it crosses the line when you can take a knee and end the game and you still try to punch it in. It’s unnecessary and disrespectful to your opponent. If your intention is to disrespect your opponent then mission accomplished I guess. I’m rooting for 97 yard fumble return in those situations. I like seeing petty assholes fall on their face. It’s like the dumbass showboating down the sideline who drops the ball before he crosses the goal line.

Two different points, they could have taken a knee when they are up two scores with :19, like I said though, I really don't care that much.

It was 4th down and TTU used all their time outs on the drive. If they had let clock run, Lanning would most likely would have done the sme. TTU wanted to play it out so Oregon obliged them
