I agree with all of those metrics except scoring because let’s not pretend like ole miss didn’t run up the score on bad teams, but other than that he has a fair point.

100 percent..doesn't even exist. The supposed head of it can even formulate sentences.

He's not wrong. Someone posted this about Alabama, but using the same metrics Miami should be behind Ole Miss and USC.
But it doesn't really matter if it's not a spot that gets in.

For a major head football coach, that's about as blunt as it gets.

Head of the committee even said in his jumbled statement that the last month mattered but..Miami ahead of USC. Don't even care about Bama, that's shows we were 100 percent something they didn't want to discuss so just erased us all together.

These are the same companies people had about the BCS system and the same complaints people had before the BCS. No matter the system, there will always be people saying this shite and they are never the fans of the actual best teams that season.

I mean he lost to Kentucky.
It’s over after that.

Yes there is was no corruption in the BCS system or the playoff committee. I would love to live in your world.

Glad I don’t live in a world where my dream season was ruined cuz I went 9-3 instead of 10-2.

We went 10-2. I printed the T shirt. Not letting Sankey ruin my buzz.

Only worse loss by any playoff hopeful was Notre Dame losing to NIU. Cant own the 2nd worst loss and then have 2 additional unranked Ls and expect to get in

Fair, the capital one bowl has been yalls ceiling since spurrier elevated the program. I think it’s the citrus bowl now.

There are Afiricans wearing our playoff shirts. And I love each and every one of them.

Screw the Citrus we are Outback bowl studs. We've fed many poor Bama fans blooming onions over the years.

That Kentucky loss haunts my dreams.
It’s bad - but it’s not any worse than Notre Dame losing at home by 3 to Northern Illinois.
Losing by 3 at home to 4-8 Kentucky in week 5 is also not any worse than Alabama losing by 21 points in the penultimate week of the season to 6-6 Oklahoma.

I believe that Alabama, South Carolina and Ole Miss would all beat Notre Dame, Penn State and Indiana on a neutral field right now.
I believe that all three are worth of being in the playoffs.
But I’m also realistic that 1-loss Big Ten teams and 1-loss ND aren’t going to get jumped by 3-loss SEC teams.
So given the fact that only 1 SEC team can make it, unfortunately USC’s 0-2 vs Bama and Ole Miss makes them the first team out.
The actual SOS measurement (not the rank, but the rating) is negligible between Alabama and Ole Miss. per the committee, the next comparison is “outcomes vs common opponents” - and in total, Ole Miss’s results vs UGA, USC, LSU and Oklahoma are clearly superior to Bama’s.

Or how about the team that didn't back in and the team that won out including beating a supposed playoff team.

I agree with Lane, but at the same time he should probably be more focused on not losing to 3 teams with a combined 16 losses
