Now this a fair enough point. I know on ESPN after 11/5 there was a huge UA hibernation then after 1/9 sleepy time was over. No honor I say....for that segment.

02. We wuz robbed, better team lost, etc (30%)--this is probably the same group commenting in LSU dominated SCar thread pointing out that a 2 point win is not domination...though apparently a 3 point loss is

A lot of kids are into MMA now and that was textbook. There will probably need to be rule revisions to correspond with the times.

I don't really know anyone who thought that hit was OK.

You're not allowed to drop someone on their head, at least under the unified rules of mma that are used in sanctioned fights.

maybe. A lot of young guys are doing this MMA now though for sure, if for no other reason than self defense and working out.

When I first saw the player from Mizzou laid out on the sideline, I was actually worried it was the same guy he'd head slammed onto the field who had had some sort of delayed reaction. He could have snapped the guy's neck. There's a difference between a good hard hit and that.

It was surprising. I can't for the life of me understand what came over him. Fanning has never shown any behavior on, or off, the field to suggest he would pull something like this. Regardless, I expect the SEC to suspend him and rightfully so.

He ain't going to play against LSU either way. He hasn't seen much playing time this year. Ultra talented but still growing into his frame.

He should be suspended. I agree.
As for his character, he's young, he probably got caught up in the moment, and he's made a mistake. More than one episode would probably make me look for a pattern, but nice people act like assholes and do stupid things all the time. It doesn't make them bad people.
