Do you think Florida feels disrespected by the polls? Reigning champs of the East and have 3 game streak going vs UGA and 11 game vs Vols who are ranked higher...
They sucked. Georgia and Tennessee should be embarrassed that they allowed them to win the East.

Apparently so was Michigan. Was Ohio State really 42-13 better than Michigan or was there a bit of a fluke there? No. I guess the score tells the whole story.

You've had our number the last two years in a row and just could not close it out
I expect to see the same gritty, knockdown dragout, slugfest from your boys in blue this year

That was a bleak day for my Gators

We had Muschamp coaching, so think what could have been with Jones and Taylor had we had an actual offensive minded coach at the helm

Don't worry...
UF will return the favor in Dallas to open the 2017 season

Personally, I don't give two shits about preseason polls. I don't follow recruiting either. I don't wear orange and blue every single day.
I'm not fanatical because I've got better shite to do.
There are plenty of you nut cases out there that worry about this shite for me.

With a roided up player leading them. After he got busted by the NCAA, they sucked.
That's why they get no respect.
And still manage to beat the Vo12s, 11 years in a row, with Will Muschamp as head coach.

UT was younger than UF last year,
This is brought up by Vols all the time and is very false. Two deep, UF was the least experienced team in the SEC by far. LINK

Wait, seriously? Is this some sort of hot take? I haven't seen anyone else say something similar to this about UF's running backs. Y'all had Kelvin Taylor and Matt Jones two years ago. That was a pretty dang solid combo.
I think so. Our RBs in 06-08 were pretty average. In 09-10, Rainey and Demps had speed, but that was about it. In 2012, we had Mike Gillislee and Matt Jones, but Jones didn't really contribute much until the end of the season. Gillislee really carried the workload. Matt Jones and Kelvin Taylor were both highly ranked out of college, but we didn't have quality depth behind them. Taylor was always solid, not great. He was undersized and didn't have breakaway speed. He at least didn't fumble.
This year we have:
4* Jordan Scarlett 5'10 213 LB
4* Jordan Cronkrite 5'11 204 LB
4*/#1 JUCO RB Mark Thompson 6'2 237 LB
3*/4* Lamical Perine 5'11 221 LB
Scarlett is one of the most talented backs we've had in a while. He's physical, has a quick step, and has good straight line speed. However, he struggled hanging on to the ball last year. Scarlett run vs UGA, Scarlett TD against LSU
Cronkrite isn't as gifted a runner, but he's a solid all purpose back. I'd guess they will have him in 3rd down situations because he's the best receiving back and good in pass protection. Cronkrite catch
Thompson is similar to Matt Jones in that he's a big bruiser. But, he's definitely a little shiftier and won't always resort to running straight into people as Jones did. Short highlight video of Thompson
I'd guess Perine will reshirt.
I think this group is the most talented, but that doesn't always translate to production. We will see.

The RB's have a lot to prove. Taylor was amazing to get 1000 yards behind that line from last year. His quick steps in the backfield will be missed.
The talent is there though, and they are all threats int he passing game.
McElwain has already eluded to two RB, 3 WR sets this year.

Pretty sure Cronkrite is the starting RB and Scarlett is possibly at 3rd string.

Taylor did have a great final year. I guess I just look back at his career at UF and think it was just solid, nothing spectacular; especially when I had such high hopes for him.
