Sankey was standing only a few feet away when CKS said it. But, it needed to be said.........

You played 3 top 20 road games. Are you under the impression that this is some sort of historical situation?

What’s his gripe? They played 8 games in the state of GA this year. Is that not enough?

Did Kirby mention history in any way?

They haven’t left Georgia in a month. They played a title game in their backyard.

When you add in that texass only played ONE ranked team all season he is right. Sankey is the one that set up the texass cake walk.

“We had to play a schedule comparable to what the SEC West did yearly - and we lost twice.”

Bitching about playing 3 top 20 games on the road (1 Top 10 game) is laughable.

that's awesome

ETA: Kirby is not really right here, but he's saying whatever he can to bring an us-versus-them type thing for his team. Plus, Sankey was vocally a bitch about the "player push" BS that zero human beings at Miss State complained about, including the player.

We haven't had a southerner at SEC commish since Boyd McWhorter in 1972-85. Why do we do that? And then Yankee-arse wikipedia deletes his bio.

last four are 3 from New York and 1 from Michigan

It's not exactly his fault that the teams they played suck. Oklahoma should be a big win for any team and they just ended up being awful.

Kirby's not wrong, but.

1). Kirby sounds like a drunk South Ga Redneck.

2). What's going to be his excuse when the 2024 schedule is flip-flopped in 2025?

Alabama will likely have 3 Top 25 teams on the road next year. What horse shite!

Every SEC team plays 4 away games. Sure, Texas got the easiest schedule, but how is that relevant after he beat 'em twice? What's he bitching about?

Alabama 2010

@ #8 Arkansas
@ #11 LSU
@ #20 South Carolina

There are multiple others who have had this. Auburn had 3 ranked road games just this season.

Pointing out that we will be facing 4 of the league's top teams again while others (looking at you Texas) get tj feast on the bottom is a fact. The fact we get bama, ole miss, and Texas at home next year isnt some big huge prize.

I guess the flip side is that in 26/27 we will get more of the bottom of the standings which will be nice.
