When you have almost a third of your team leaving early for the NFL or transferring to get playing time every year it’s gonna affect grad rates. Of course schools like UTk and AU wouldn’t know much about that.

I remember a lot of UTk convicts thru the years. At times I imagine they actually strained the Knoxville jail facilities. Too small to accommodate everyone and the thugs had to squeeze in

It doesn't have much to do with that either. It's mostly about Richt cutting corners at the end of his time at UGA.
The latest GSR numbers come from recruiting classes that entered their schools form 2013-2016. Even the 2016 class was mostly recruited by Richt.
UGA each year has players who are on schedule to graduate wear a patch in the bowl game indicating that fact. Each of the last 4 years they've had between 16 and 22 players wearing the patch, which suggests a MINIMUM graduation rate around 70-80%. We won't see those numbers for another 4-5 years though, as the GSR has a very long delay in terms of what it represents.
Smart has been at UGA for a WHILE... and only the first class of his (of which he had very little impact on as it was committed before he came to UGA and he mostly just tried to retain recruits) is the only one that currently shows up in the numbers.

Sorry Tennessee folks... we don't care about car related citations at all. Neither does anyone else. Those who dislike UGA (like Tennessee fans) pretend they care, but they don't really. If they did they'd look into how many speeding tickets their players have.
But they don't bother, because then they'd find out they have about the same number that UGA does and it would ruin their day.
