- but he got his fans excited, which is priority #1. Sort of like Miles and his comments regarding Saban.

quote:not really. I was referring to how a lot of non-LSU fans were saying things about miles that we are about Kiffin, and the LSU fans were defending Miles the way vol fans are defending Kiffin.
Horrible analogy.

Refresh my memory...when did Miles state in public that Bama and Nick were guilty of recruiting violations and that Nick cheated but still couldn't land a player? Also, when did Miles actions result in a reprimand from the SEC?

you people are quite pedantic.

I agree that the incident with Meyer probably shouldnt be that big a deal to the rest of the SEC.
And it wouldnt be to Tiger fans, except it came on top of the stunt he and Janzen Jackson pulled.
Jackson apparently committed to TN 2 weeks ago, but at Kiffin's request kept telling Miles he was coming to LSU. That kept LSU from offering someone else, and ensured one of our spots in this years class went unfilled.
To make sure the ploy worked, Jackson waited a day after NSD to announce.
That, and the other stories floating around about TN recruiting tactics this year, is enough to make Kiffin more than deserving of catching heat around the SEC.
He's a punk, and it will catch up to him on the field this year.

Everyone seems to be in agreement on this.

I thought Petrino was the biggest a-hole in the league. Thanks to Kiffin, he no longer holds that distinction.

I just wish we could get TN - Kiffin - Orgeron in Tiger Stadium this year.
Bama fans are probably feeling neglected. Seems like Kiffin has replaced Saban as the punching bag around here- for now at least.

When the conference is shamed as a result of his unprofessional behavior, it's a big deal.
Our reputation continues to grow and others will be looking for anything to mock us about. Thanks ELane

"...you people are quite pedantic...."
Perhaps, but that still doesn't change the fact there is no reasonable comparison that can be made between any remarks made by Miles and those made by Kiffin.
BTW, I have found that those who normally resort to the "you people" expression are high in arrogance but without good cause.

How do you know he normally resorts to it?

Spirit of Dunson = LSU hater or Les Miles hater.
Why else is he the only one in this thread trying to compare Kiffen's antics to Miles?

I wasn't posting trying to compare kiffin to miles as much as to compare the responses to them between their respective fan bases. I think the whole ordeal has been vastly overblown.
