Word is saban has signed the contract but wants to wait until after the Alabama-LSU game to announce. He's not coming back to coach. So my sauce, stated he will be in charge of NIL and football operations. He wanted nothing to do with coaching again, yes they definitely asked and offered but he declined. I think the AD title was a presumed title but at the moment that looks incorrect. But you never know with this mess going on. Him and verge are tight as well as many others. They are going to let him call his moves basically.

First hand info this morning from different FMOL leadership was that they're confident Saban will be HC with control over hiring next coach and AD role (if he wants it). Second-hand info from mid-tier leadership attendees was that the consensus amongst multiple "important" guests was that they were confident in Saban agreeing to the AD role.

A friend of mine has a text message from a former offensive staff member, still closely associated with the university/program that states this. It is supposedly a short-term transition-type deal where he comes in as head coach for 2 years, then hands it off to his successor: someone he is supposed to bring with him. (no clue whom that successor is). At that point, NS will step into a mentor type roll.

I am still going to beat this drum. I was told again today LSU was given a number on Nick Saban from Sexton. They didn’t say no. I heard from two different people that have some pretty deep ties to the program that Saban is the guy.
