I find it quite funny and entertaining that people on this board continuously slam Orgeron and his coaching ways.
People around here must have short memories, because I can specifically remember the volnation board being FLOODED with people from tigerdroppings when it was announced Orgeron to LSU.
The board was literally overtaken by TD posters claiming the steal of the century. Now he sucks?
Sour grapes.

I would say half this board was against him, and that half thought he was a slime ball. The younger college crowd was excited I know that for sure. He can coach I don't think you get an arguement there but his recruiting techniques are well lets say "questionable". I would put more stock on what a TD poster has to say about Ed O than the Vol Nation, as many grew up with him his kids etc etc. Sour grapes, nope no way.

As a head coach yes he does suck...as a recruiter and line coach no he does not...

You very could be right about only half the fans being excited. I didn't visit this site as often until the volnation board was flooded with posts from LSU fans.
I agree also that he sucks as a head coach. I also agree that his recruiting ways are questionable. However, I think he will be able to bring in some huge recruiting classes that we need to get back on to a competing level in the SEC. We will see how it all turns out in the future...
