Spurrier was self aware, he knew he was the bad guy and loved it. Lane wants to be Pete Carroll. He wants to be the cool guy the media loves, he’s embraced being the heel but he wants to be the face.

Was Steve Spurrier considered one at Florida because he was sarcastic and blunt while dominating the SEC? I think he is liked now but he was def hated before.

Wasn't Spurrier more of a villian then Phil? Sure Phil was hated, but Spurrier won the SEC a ton of times and then mocked opponents. Imagine Nick Saban or Kirby Smart...now imagine them mocking people when they beat their arse. Fulmer is why they started the "Fulmer Cup", he was just a piece of shite, but he only has 2 SEC titles.Spurrier won 3x as much.....Fulmer was Spurrier's little bitch(9-5 record overall head 2 head).
