Basically, Chavis isn't going to go out and land 5* guys left and right

We don't need him to. Sumlin is a GREAT recruiter. For his side of the ball- offense- we have gotten two five star QBs in a row. That is hard to do.

The problem is that Sumlin had no credibility on the defensive side of the ball. Now when recruits ask for his credentials he can sell Chavis's instead (yes including all that LSU success). Chavis just has to sit there in maroon for him to be a huge boost for recruiting.

What we need is better oline play. What we need is for our army of four star WRs to not drop as many balls. We need our five star QB to keep his game at the level it was at during the WVU game.

All of a sudden "negatigers" no longer are calling for the failure of Les

Just because they're quiet doesn't mean they aren't hoping for Steele's failure.

They're just waiting to see how bad it looks before jumping up out of the grass screaming, "SEE? I TOLD YA!" #fireless

Just lurk on tRant scoreboard for the McNeese game. The first time the Cowboys score, you'll see the negatigers.

What would really be an absolute chamber of horrors is if A&M shuts out LSU in Tiger Stadium next season. I would actually enjoy that just for the fireworks. If you think LSU fans were prone to butthurt melting, that would be the most epic of all-time. It would be China Syndrome-esque.

Seems deceptive, I would think the point differential matter more.

Eh whatever you say. I trust you.

Sumlin is not a great recruiter. Evidence is staggering.

It only matters for certain teams using a certain system.

In the A&M system TOP matters less than what you do on each drive.

You're the trolling equivalent of Brian Cardinal. Zero talent but nobody will outwork you. Go practice elsewhere

I agree. That's fair. If you score in 11 seconds often, who cares about time of possession? But, if you have multiple drives in a game with 3 incomplete passes on a row, your defense is going to be in trouble. That's how I look at TOP and the only point I was trying to make in stating it.

He is averaging a dozen spots higher on the recruiting rankings than our past two coaches.

This is one of those double edged swords NFLSU, I am not going to play. Your angle today is Sumlin sucks at recruiting because he doesn't do as well as some standard that no one holds Aggy to. Yet any other day you would list off some shite about our "weirdness" (1939! Jizz Jars! Homos!) that would make Sumlin seem like a wizard for getting ANY recruits to come to A&M.

If just ONCE you would give us/Sumlin credit for ANYTHING it would help your cause.

Subtlety is not your forte.

Thank you Coach Sumlin for the automatic loss to LSU resulting in further pillage of Texas recruits.

THANK YOU!!!

True. It seems like most of our failed drives last year were quick three and outs. We were very hot and cold and it didn't seem like we had a ton of scoreless drives that strung together a couple first downs

I do think our offense will be a little slower this year. There has been a lot of talk about getting more physical on offense since late in the regular season and I think those go hand in hand a little bit.

We certainly made an effort to be more physical in the bowl game and out TOPed WVU 32-25. WVU is a HUNH team too but It seemed like we rarely out possessed a team in a close game before

Our receiver corp will be twice as good and experienced this year, our qb won't be a true freshman either

Mike Evans had a hell of a game against that freshman corner for LSU. Remember?
