Kentucky does not, apparently, and Stoops gets an extension for going winless in the SEC and losing to a sunbelt school. Anything else is deflecting and spinning the actual facts.

Bert is a step below John L. Smith in coaching acumen and is unable to recruit at the same level as the first-year head coach of a program that hasn't won an SEC game since 2011. Anything else is deflecting and spinning the actual facts.

Then Bert's 'successful' recruiting was mentioned and it all blew up in hog-fan faces

nah Catfan brought up our recruiting LINK

trying to deflect from this fact I brought to the table LINK

it just went downhill from there for UK fans

the answer is because he is doing a great job recruiting and having a long-term contract helps project both stability and longevity, further supporting his efforts on the recruiting trail.

it was a gem. thanks for noticing

a gem to which you and catfan both apparently didn't appreciate. I even provided further facts backing up my Oregeron = Stoops theory. to which you deflected with more bert talk

I think so

this has turned into a thread more about bert than about stoops.

your deflecting has become tiresome fwiw

So this thread has gone about as I expected it would.

And good for Barnhart. Best recruiter we've had in years and with a healthy QB should show even more improvement this year.

Yikes. You believe that Orgeron's failure at Ole Miss gave you 'facts' to back up your 'theory' that Mark Stoops = Ed Orgeron.

This is almost painful to consider. Assuming you're an adult, I'm sorry the educational system has failed you so completely.

My condolences.

it's a theory based off of similarities. it can still be proven untrue by stoops succeeding

btw here's one of the threads about where the talent from those petrino recruiting classes went LINK
quote:

Bobby Petrino's 2010 signing class. We signed 25 and here is another list for you. You tell me if ANY program can strike out this bad for one year and survive.

1. Calvin Barnett - never made it to campus
2. Jatashun Beachum - never left the dinner table
3. LaCraig Brown - here for about 5 minutes
4. Eduardo Camara - kicker that never kicked a ball for us.
5. Daunte Carr - appears to be a strikeout
6. Luke Charpentier - jury still out on him.
7. Cam Feldt - never was good enough. Gone
8. Courthey Gaston - never made it on campus.
9. Brad Hefley - I don't even remember this guy.
10. Madrecus Humphrey - jail bird who never did squat.
11. Jeremiah Jackson - is he still here?
12. Jarrett Lake - Can't get on the field for the worst defense in the nation.
13. Braylon Mitchell - Same story has Lake.
14. Denton Simek - who?
15. Darrell Smith - not in the program
16. Alan Turner - potential but toast for now.
17. Marquel Wade - jailbird. gone.
18. Jacoby Walker - never played a lick and transferred.

19. Eric Bennett - McGee signee that can play but is undersized for SEC safety.
20. Javontee Herndon - decent but so far an underacheiver.
21. Zach Hocker - THE PRIZE OF THE CLASS. A kicker. That is a kick in the nuts.
22. Julian Horton - see comments on Herndon above. SCOOP AND SCORE! UGH!!!
23. Byran Jones - STUD
24. Chris Smith - Finally starting as a SR. for worst defense in the country.
25. I'm not listing #25. Out of respect.

There you have it folks. Two to Four SEC players for an entire signing class. Houston Nutt would have been buried for a recruiting effort like that.

Is that the kind of recruiting that everyone thinks is the best we can do? A kicker, a stud DL, and a couple of reserves for most SEC teams.

Any program in America would feel the effects two years removed from a class like this. There is a talent deficiency. I don't know how else to point it out for some of you. - swinemaster

This is a very good post from swinemaster on Hogville. I haven't had time to layout my entire thoughts yet but they are coming.
This is clearly easy to see...

The 2006 Arkansas signing class was loaded with in-state studs on both offense and defense which took us to AP #5 and #10. Now look what happened when Arkansas took West Coast and East Coast kids not to mention half of the 2010 class doesn't play.. I cannot believe I'm about to say this but Petrino has now produced the WORST defense I've ever seen at Arkansas. That includes every single Nutt Defense.

If you don't lock in Arkansas' in-state studs, losing top running back to Alabama this coming year for example, recruit Texas, Mississippi or Louisiana with a discipline coach, we have the 2012 Razorbacks.

I got BURNED by my fellow Hog Fans on the recruiting board but can smile now. I stand by my statement... Bobby Petrino was just a much better coach than Nutt with the same Arkansas talent. Petrino's idiot move was having 17.. yes, 17 receivers on scholarship in the SEC West. Ego, my friends ego.

eta: lulz end of that thread we were still discussing gruden
