It truly is. Aggy fans have become absolutely unhinged. It’s pretty awesome

Here are some facts to help explain Aggy for SEC fans: The entire State of Texas never wanted A&M for this they blame UT.
A&M was created with the Morrill Land grant program and Texans resented Federal money dictating higher education in the State (not to mention having to create the separate but equal Prairie View A&M).
It was originally a reform school for wayward 13 year-old farm boys (yes 13 was minimum age). It was a terrible school in the middle of nowhere and Texans tried a number of times to close it down.
Aggy understandably grew into what you see today because this: weird traditions to unite the school, obsessing over little brother status, ect. It was necessary for survival.

Don't forget that aggy was created to be a branch of The Flagship University of Texas.
Posted on 7/28/21 at 12:56 pm to THE Texas Flagship
Yeah Aggy did that to themselves. The idea was to gain access to the PUF fund and have full control over the money as the only operating branch of UT at the time.
Not sure why the Legislature never bothered to change it. It’s come up a few times over the years but it’s just been left that way. They clearly ain’t a branch lol

A&M is older than Texas by 7 years. We were never a branch of your school and we are our own System with our own access to the PUF. We weren't a reform school. We did struggle in our first few years as the FIRST Public University in Texas but that changed when the Governor LS Ross stepped down to become President. A&M has always had Prairie View as part of it and we had virtually no issues with ending segregation or the racism on football teams and everything else you guys have had in Austin. A&M also had more men serve in WW2 than any other college in the US including all of the service academies COMBINED.
TLDR,

“The Constitution of 1876 provided for the establishment of the University of Texas and made Texas A&M, which had been founded by the legislature in 1871, a branch of it.”

You are correct about opening 7 years earlier but UT had been in the works for a while. So I guess you became a branch of UT shortly after you opened. Still doesn’t change the fact that it remains that way today even after the UT University System was created to in the 1960s.
On February 11, 1858, the Seventh Texas Legislature approved O.B. 102, an act to establish the University of Texas, which set aside $100,000 in United States bonds toward construction of the state's first publicly funded university.

By the time Texas was opened though A&M was already separate. We were never a branch of your school. The model was 2 Flagships. One to focus on Engineering, Agriculture, and such. Another to study basket weaving, transgender studies, and such. We were never under the direction of the University of Texas System even if we were both created under the Land Grant.

Yes, let the hate flow through you. We have missed the hate for many years except in the shooty hoops and the field of dreams, but soon those of our fan base too young to know the hate in the foosball will soon see the power in the non-burnt orange side.

This is why everyone hates you sip! The only 13 year old farm boys are the ones that you stick in the arse at your fairy gay arse school. Cocks for Glocks is your moniker.
You fragile little ego will crumble is you admit the truth. I get it. Try counseling.
You probably don't even hold a degree from whorn. Whorn has more t-shirt fans (illegal lawn workers) than any school in the country.
The really funny thing about you trying to convince everyone that Texas A&M is such a horrible school is that Aggie graduates get paid more than whorn grads. So what does that make your liberal POS school look like. Forture 100 companies hire more Aggies than whorns.
You worthless sips are so afraid that everyone will find out what kind of chicken shits you are so you just get on these boards and say, We're rich, Aggie gay, we're better than you, we're blue blood, you should be glad to have us, we're better than Aggy, we beat the shite out of Aggie for years when they were an all Corps of Cadet school like VMI and the Citadel (but not the last 48 years - Aggies 19 - Whorn 18, ouch). Keeping yelling at the top of your lungs that you are greatest university ever because everyone will eventually figure out that you are all hat and no cattle...you're not even relevant!

1 flagship 1 branch says Constitution lol. You right though A&M was never under UT control as was originally intended mostly kidding it’s just a random fact to upset Aggies. Still don’t make it wrong. Now as far as that curriculum...
“Despite its charter as an agricultural and mechanical college, the A&M College of Texas taught no classes in agriculture during its formative years, but stressed classical studies, languages, literature, and applied mathematics.”

Aggy meltdown comments like this are why we do it. Does it make UT seem arrogant and full of themselves? Yes. Is it worth it? Absolutely.
A&M is a great school. Good Athletics, Academics, and a lot of money. It’s just a weird defensive cult is all with total dedication to narrative control about its own history and short comings.
