When did AU fans leave?
I was here at 1-2 and I am here at 6-2.
I was here at 3-9, I am here a lot of the time.
Now cook those green eggs and ham, I'm hungry Sam I am.

High school offense inflated numbers.
Too bad he has only faced off against high school defenses.

I absolutely love the way Pettway runs. He runs angry. I love it when he actually initiates the hit against opposing players.
I would never take anything away from LF. He is an amazing talent. But, I would have to say Pettway has been the biggest and most pleasant surprise of the season. I cannot imagine the number of icepacks opposing teams burn through after he plays them.

Love watching the way he runs. Powerful, punishing runner with deceptive speed.

This is what LSU's starting RB has done in their seven games.
atts 135
yds 1150
avg 8.5
TDs 11
that's the numbers for only the starting RB. Fournette's four starts and Guice's three.
Can anybody beat that?

Pettway had very little to do with that.

17 for 61 yards against LSU defense what a joke. 30 for 236 1 TD. LF had 16 for 284 3 Td is that even close

Pettway does one thing. He can't catch, can't block, and has no agility whatsoever
While I believe Fournette is a better RB than Pettway, I also believe that you don't follow anything other than LSU football and that you are limited to homerism.

The dude who was the starting fullback last year cant block?

His pass blocking was skeptical in the beginning of the year but he's improved a lot. Run blocking is fine, I liked seeing him throw a block for Stanton on his run last night.
Pettway can catch too.
A lot of people should also realize that Pettway had to learn the RB position this past spring. While he did play RB in high school auburn had him as a FB exclusively his first year and a half here.
This was a lot of the reason that Pettway didn't play much early on (no carries vs Clemson and was Johnson's spell back for the most part). He seems to be becoming more and more of a RB each week. Cuts and vision improving, open field tackle breaking getting better.
I believe Kerryon's vision and the power from his first step will be very valuable against more stout run defenses like Alabama but I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest to see Pettway break 100 against Bama. On the pitch plays we give him, unless a WR misses a block or a LB reads the play and beats Pettway to the spot it is hard to bring him down when he gets a full head of steam. Very efficient at getting 5-8 yard runs.

I can't wait to see Pettway vs Radio Foster
