Amazing journey over 2+weeks, really a challenge. Trekking about 10 miles a day at altitudes up to 17000 ft mostly up steep hills to everest base camp. Nepal is Inspiring.
Been gone a few weeks so let me get this straight.
Auburn sucks again, when i left they were gonna win a nattie, lost to gators 2nd string qb? gus safe with 8-4 though, boobie hurt, please play harold joiner. Auburn’s a basketball school now anyway, hoops get rolling next month? Gonna try to catch some games from istanbul on the way back to austin
Roll tide,
Hoping ns can get the d up to speed by L8U

You have a 1 in 3 chance of dying on Everest. The mountain is littered with dead bodies. Don't do it.

Cmon gang, trek to everest base camp means one stops at the bottom, no climbing involved. Ebc is where the real athletes who summit get things together before the climb. For the rest of us the bottom is the best we can hope to do, sort of like tennessee and arky in football, Girls are ok in nepal, not hot, very poor third world country tends to sap outer beauty from them i think. Our group’s luggage was carried by yaks and the woman who herded them was amazing but not pretty, sort of rode hard and put up wet, if you know what i mean. No hot water and it was cold so no showers for most of the trek, we wore mostly merino wool but still stunk anyway, Not quite as much as auburn’s offense but pretty bad nevertheless.
Forgot to say that to actually climb everest costs somewhere between 100 to 150k just for the permits and sherpas to drag you to the top. Problem is that so many people are trying that there’s a traffic jam in the death zone and people are dying on the way down as they can’t descend quick enough.
Used to be they would only allow folks with significant climbing experience to try but i think now you can just check a box online attesting to that experience and baddaboom baddabing, you have a permit. Nepal is dirt poor and they make a ton of money off these permits so not gonna stop anytime soon.
Once again roll tide & frick auburn

Badass, dude. I’ve done some sweet hikes last couple years but nothing that long. My wife goes and she’s a frickin billy goat on a mountain (runs marathons) but she’s not sleeping in a tent multiple days.

We did do Mt. Fuji in Japan a couple months back though. Highly recommend. Stay in one of the huts overnight and back down the next morning.

And yes, Auburn sucks. UF looked like shite too if that tells you anything. Auburn is hot garbage. LSU and bama likely to run Gus out of the conference this year.

What self respecting southerner would climb a mountain for two weeks during football season?

Ask this question to yourself out loud.

Nice cas4t.

His wife probably made him get married in October last year, too.

I also heard that bama fans can climb 75% of the way and then retro-claim they climbed the whole thing in their media guides.
