Brodie had a great arm, but no touch. His problem was he was an All-American in shorts, but very average in games. The OL was a problem because he held on to the ball too long.

Or perhaps it was because they were continually getting injured?

The OL injuries did not cause him to hold on to the ball. Again, getting exited over a QB that looks good in warmups, usually results in disappointment. 18/36 against the ACC is Brodie type numbers.

Sorry that we're excited Auburn fan. You basing those numbers on his entire ability is ridiculous.

You make excuses for everyone but Peyton Manning...

Just an observation.

They are all I have to go by, his highlight film is less than 30 seconds.

I highly, highly doubt it.

But the bigger the balloon the bigger the bust that's what I always say.

So you can't get excited about any of Auburn's recruits because of their high school tape or based on speculation of college coaches and the media?

That is literally the entire recruiting process.

We'll bookmark this for when you try to tout any of AU's upcoming recruits.

Are you fricking special or something? What else do schools have to go on with recruits other than HS tapes?

Maybe it's because I hold Peyton Manning in such high esteem that the fact that he doesn't have more Super Bowls under his belt is indicative of him underperforming?

Just a thought.

Greg McElroy held onto the ball. Brodie Croyle didn't have enough time to throw the ball away.

I would say his 36 passes last year, which is why I referenced the length of his highlight film. Bama fans are now taping "Friday Night Tykes" for further references. I saw a few 50 yard passes in those segments

P.S. Cokers High School film was so impressive that bama did not even offer.

FWIW Coker has an absolute cannon of an arm.

Yeah, we did. We offered him late but he remained committed to FSU.

Nick MArshall's UGA highlight film was legit. He was probably one of the best 6 CBs that they had.
