How is LSU at 9 with a guy that's been a career backup?
Well, Nuss could have transferred a lot of places and started last year. He's really good, and Swann is a returning SEC starter.

The only thing Nuss has is experience. He's a middle of the road game manager type of QB best case scenario. That's his ceiling which is lower than Nico's floor.
Well you're stupid.
For starters, Nuss doesn't actually have that much game experience.
Secondly, his ceiling? He can make throws that Joe Burrow couldn't.
He needs to take care of the ball better, but he has the potential to be the best downfield passer in the country.

2024 Manning Passing Academy: College quarterback top performers
(In alphabetical order)
Jackson Arnold – Oklahoma
Arnold’s play as a freshman proved his toughness outside the pocket, and the former 5-star had good zip on his passes at Friday Night Lights and had some nice deep ball throws.
Carson Beck – Georgia
No surprise here, but the setting played into Beck’s strengths as a passer. He was solid with his deep ball throws and was right on target in the short and intermediate game.
Jaxson Dart – Ole Miss
Dart’s combination of size and arm talent was among the best of the nearly 50 college quarterbacks in attendance.
Quinn Ewers – Texas
For the second year in a row, Ewers was one of the best quarterbacks at the Manning Passing Academy.
Garrett Nussmeier – LSU
Conner Weigman – Texas A&M

I am a Gator fan but UF being that high is a joke. All Mertz did was pad his completion % and keep the interceptions low by playing it safe and constantly throwing short to wide open guys on 3rd and 4th down who had no chance to make a 1st down

Seems to base this on passing ability and not consider running or intangibles. I like the totality of the package that Green and Sellers bring to their teams. UK is overrated.

mizzou's starter is a top five sec qb going into his third year starting and his back up has thrown for 26 tds to 9 interceptions at the power five level. i can't really say i understand why pate would have us ranked behind schools starting rookie qbs
Yeah, Pate apparently didn't look too hard into Mizzou.
