NEW ORLEANS -- After LSU’s crushing defeat in the BCS National Championship, quarterback Jordan Jefferson closed his Twitter account.
Jefferson quickly became the target of criticism as LSU failed to score a single point in the BCS. Months before the game Jefferson came under fire following his alleged involvement in a Baton Rouge bar fight.
After the BCS game, some people sent the quarterback threats and racial slurs to his Twitter account, leading him to close the account @JJefferson9.

I will never understand how do many fans actually care THAT much about a football game. He played like shite his final two games, but oh yeah,,,it's just a fricking football game.

there is no excuse for people posting racist stuff on his twitter but I don't think its a good idea for a college player to have twitter... it just opens you up to saying the wrong thing and being distracted from the things that actually matter

It's our biggest game of the season that could've defined us in CFB history. The team wasn't prepared/preparing, they were out enjoying themselves in Nola, Les shouldn't have given them that much freedom, they could've done all that after actually taking care of business.

ridiculous
it's les miles that deserves criticism for keeping JJ in the game
what do you expect from an average QB going against a semi-professional defense?

Agreed. I was glad when Zeke Pike closed his twitter account a few months ago after causing quite a stir. Unfortunately, he must be addicted to it because the dumbass created a new account.

I'm embarrassed for you, bud. I'm not happy, but you pretty much just tried to rationalize how pathetic these people were to harass an LSU student-athlete. At least he will get his degree from LSU, unlike our massive contegent of full-blown retarda that like to call themselves tiger fans.

surprised by racial shite? a fanbase is a sample of society and sorry but racism is not totally dead....what you thought it disappeared when obama was elected? very sad, but most prefer to keep the criticism to the game.

This. And you may be giving JJ a little to much credit by calling him average.

hes mad that LSU fans aren't sucking up to him for being the "all-time winningest" QB in lsu history

We have some real a-holes in our fanbase as most programs do. Sad and true.

its one thing to be dissapointed in his performance on the field but to go as far as threating the guy with violence is just crazy.
