re: Bama fans, can you explain this?

The rankings look the same before the bowls took place, or maybe I'm missing something.

Truths about the BCSNC Game?
Posted by AWoww on 1/12/12 at 10:49 pm
I know it's a few days behind us, but obviously fans are still looking for answers. Just thought I'd post this and ask for your thoughts. I am not sure if it is true or not but a lot of the pieces fit. This was heard from someone with ties to the LSU athletic department.
"Apparently about 3 hours before the game T-Bob Hebert and Russell Shepard and 2 other receivers and a hand full of linemen got into a heated argument with Les Miles and the Offensive Coordinator about Lee getting more playing time and possibly starting the BCS Championship game. It got so heated that Miles benched T-Bob and RS and 3 other players. He called Lee into his office and told Lee that he would not be playing in the game. The Offensive CO told Miles that he thought that Lee gave the team the best chance to win the game. Miles told the OC to start looking for a new job after the game and Miles will be calling the plays for the championship game.
Apparently the O Line sided with T-Bob and Lee and did not give their all in the game to prove to Miles that the players are more important then the coach. Now I know that this is hard to believe but when you look at some things it kind of explains a few things: I will list some:
Playcalling: Read option pass on 3rd and 10 - 4 times. Running the same 5 plays over 90% of the game. Overall, Horrible play calling. Running the ball in the 4th quarter with 9mins and down by 21. T-Bob Hebert not taking a snap in the game. RS only playing 3 snaps and not touching the ball or getting looked at. Lee getting off the bus and walking 10 feet behind the team with his head down and looking dejected while walking into the Dome. Heated argument between receivers and JJ and O Line with O line coach on sidelines.
And the kicker, reports that 2/3 rds. of the plays that were practiced up to the game were not ran and the players were not told why. Again I do not know if this is entirely true but there seems to be a lot of truth in it just by seeing what happened in the game."

He forgot a comma in his sentence. Bama won the Championship, they couldn't control. They as in LSU.

beating themselves
So tired of this argument. We were better on than night, they were better on Monday.
Do you want us to say we "beat ourselves" by running the same thing on offense for 4 quarters despite it not working?

It'd be best for him to leave next year. We have two pocket passing QBs next year. Him leaving now, whether having a shot at a roster could be the difference between a successful year and National Championship.

The things said aren't idiotic. Most of us understand we had an unbelievable and the best season ever. But we also understand that the way it ended is unacceptable. It's not the fact that we lost, it's the way it happened. This is what people don't seem to understand and in response attack us for our negative remarks.

And pimp suits. Don't forget the pimp suits.

What's making us tick ultimately is not the loss itself but how it went down and how it happened. Our coach has yet to come out and answer our questions. A lot remains unanswered.

Much how your performance was in the season opener.

ESPN got us all motivated and excited to see the "so call" game of the century and later the BCS Champ game.
ESPN gets us motivated for other conferences as well, it's just that they aren't good enough to have a "Game of the Century."

Football fans got 8 quarters of Kickball. So kiss my azz. It's not my fault ya'll hate the end zone.
Football fans got 8 quarters of tough, physical defense. Something that other conferences apparently don't have, but likes to brag about. It's not that you like the endzone, it's that you score a lot vs shitty teams/defenses and play an easy schedule. Like I said, if we played the teams you played, we'd not only have better records than you, but better stats as well.
quote:
That team in purple and gold looked like a bunch of 3rd graders out there.
How does it feel to start off the season getting your arse handed to you by said "3rd graders"?
quote:
The rest of the country do not need to see that shait again! Ya'll got your feeling hurt by my post, and soon turn this into Oregon vs the world!
You do know you have the choice of not watching it then. Our feelings aren't hurt and it's not Oregon vs the world. You are just salty at the SEC because we are better and more dominant than you and your conference.
quote:
One team should have NOT been there and the other look like a mess of hot shait. Put those things together and we witness the worst BCS Champ Game ever played!!
Bama deserved to be there more than Oregon, what is there case for a rematch? The only thing I can agree with you on is that LSU didn't play their best game as we all hoped, but I doubt that the overrated Oregon offense could do much better.
There's no argument to argue, we've all presented you with clear facts that you are either too delusional or stupid to accept.
