Sounds about like how Fulmer got the head coaching job. Sabotage and backstabbing...

I really don't buy this at all.

This is about the Haslams. Currie was a puppet but Fulmer didn't sabotage him. He got fed up like everyone else in the AD and VN. Currie should've been fired after Schiano.

If true, do UT fans still want Fulmer? Seems like a complete Dbag move/s by Fulmer and he was fully involved in embarrassing the university?

Actually firing him was the best possible move they can make. No coachWould signed a deal with him knowing he was going to get fired soon anyway. Wipe slate clean get a new A.D. and a new coach It’s the best they could do out of this bad situation.

So has it essentially been Currie/ Haslams V Fulmer/ other boosters?

i mean, Schiano wasn't a terrible hire. The lynching of Schiano does not fall on Currie. That isn't his fault.

bingo. Anyone blaming John Currie isn't watching what is going on. This isn't his fault. He was essentially sitting in a position with zero authority. Yet, he was told to go make something happen without the authority or backing to do it.

Tennessee is making Texas look like they have never had problems in their Athletic Department.

I was gonna say it takes talent to get fired after only 8 months on a job

but now I see where the UT athletic department has more drama than a Jerry Springer Show episode rolled into a "who's the father" episode from Maury

I bet not!!! I'd say there is a check being typed out...if not just to avoid more negative litigation.

Just saw @john_currie walk into UT Chancellor Davenport’s office at 9:08a. Was in there about 12min, walked out.
I chatted with him for a sec—he said “I can’t say anything to you just now” and got in the elevator @wbir

The only way this could be sweeter is if UT had played and lost to MTSU and Memphis this year.
