If these statements are true.......If he doesn't field at the very minimum a top 30 D than yall waisted a lot of $$$. There's no way to spin it. If he truly has this talent top 30 D should be easy.
I think he's blowing smoke up Aggies arse.
I'd also wager that Aggie will fall way off their #24 national ranking in sacks.

How's everyone in this thread? I bet it's full of civil discussion at a moot point between the Noble Fans of Kyle and the Bandits of Tigerland.

We just need a top 75
Why are you still here melting over Chavis anyway
Go get a life! A girlfriend! A hobby !

Can't we all just agree that both A&M and LSU upgraded their coaching staffs?
Posted on 8/13/15 at 11:58 pm to rmnldr
A &M upgraded
We can agree on that
But 95% of LSU fans believe LSU downgraded and that is a fact

Y'all went from a guy who routinely had top 15 defenses to a guy that gave up 70 points to a Big East team with a month to prepare.

Wow. A DC saying positive things about the team he coaches for? Color me shocked.

And this is why no one respects A&M fans.

So at what point in your life did you believe Kevin Steele was a better coordinator than John Chavis?
Posted on 8/14/15 at 12:21 am to TeLeFaWx
I don't know what he is. He might be better at LSU than Chavis was or might be worse. I know for a fact that he isn't terrible and his supporting cast will help him out a lot. I do know, however, that Ed Orgeron is a massive upgrade over what we had.
LSU upgraded
A&M upgraded
Take it or leave it.

That's not how it works. If Kevin Steele is worse than Chavis, it's a downgrade. How do you not get that?

My original post was:
Both schools upgraded their football program's staffs.
eta:
You guys don't understand just how bad Brick Haley was.

Day 230 of a position coach being mentioned in a discussion about DCs because LSU downgraded and they know it.

When did this thread about our DC evolve into a discussion about your position coaches? Was it when we asked if Steele was a downgrade? Was it sport?

Hardly a position coach. He's just as crucial or more crucial than the hiring of Kevin Steele. Having been a former head coach and an interim head coach he understands what Miles wants out of him and how to gain success.
The coaching staff works together as a unit and having Peveto, Raymond, and Orgeron, Steele won't have as much pressure as he had on him at Clemson.
I don't understand why the Aggies have to win or come out on top of this coaching exchange. In your minds, LSU must fail and there is no other desirable outcome. Y'all need to come to the realization that you may have got our DC, but we hired a fine DC and an elite DL coach to mitigate the loss.
