A&M Football is a fat ugly girl with bad breath and an annoying personally. Not as much as the poor girl claims but the Dad has some money, so she has undergone a lot of plastic surgery. Thanks to that after several drinks she can at times look slightly less hideous... but it's an illusion that disappears quickly when someone pays closer attention.

The essence is just not there.

Including the trick of not reading the article, I guess.

Oh but I did. Here is what it had to say about the mid-career salaries:

quote:

Looking at the response pool for any college, typically only about 10-15% have 10+ years of experience.

So basically if your pool is small you won't have a representative sample. Luckily A&M's pool is large so even 10% could be a representative sample is the methodology is sound.

How long has A&m been about to make the next jump? Coming up on like 50-60 years right? Time to let that pipe dream go.

This thread is about unrealistic Aggie expectations in relation to football, not alumni career success.
Spoiler: both rely on garbage numbers and bogus statistics.

Florida didn't jump until they were ready. When they did they never looked back.

The word you're looking for is "sleight."

There's that diploma-mill education shining through...

No, not quite. Chavis isn't an Aggie, he is just an employee of Aggies. He is the one making the statement.

I would say that too if I was a Texas Ex with a worthless Liberal Arts degree.

No it wasn't, I meant what I typed. Slight is real term, one relating to insults (ie what you CONSTANTLY try to put forth regarding A&M):

quote:

slight - noun 1. an insult caused by a failure to show someone proper respect or attention.

If you can't spot a pun that is your fault.

He's actually an employee of a Tiger. As is every other coach in the athletic program.

I'm shocked that instead of an aggie admitting being wrong, he or she would lie. You sound like a two-year-old.

Sure he is. And that Tiger is an employee of an Aggie, like most of his fellow alumni in the non-academic world.

And I am shocked you don't have a sense of humor and you can't appreciate a good pun.

Well not that shocked.

could we please use the correct terminology?

An earmark is an allocation of funds to support an initiative.

A watermark is a signature-like mark clearly identifying something.

I used the word correctly.

Merriam-Webster

quote:

Simple Definition of earmark

: a mark or quality that shows what something is or what it could be

quote:

Full Definition of earmark

1
a mark of identification on the ear of an animal

2
a distinguishing mark

3
: a provision in Congressional legislation that allocates a specified amount of money for a specific project, program, or organization

Don't question me on my word usage. You know I'm a nerd

When or if the right leader ever does make their way to College Station, you'll know it when they lay this tradition to rest.

Ha- right. I always forget your shtick re: how we are somehow both the most liberal, progressive left wing college and the most racist school in the state. I love the counterintuition of the Aggie mind.
Like here's a taste:
We didn't win anything in the Big 12 + we didn't win anything in the SEC = advantage Aggie.

There's a great multitude of evidence that proves that the most "liberal and progressive" individuals are also the most racist.
