One minor problem being that Hurts never said that.
It doesn't matter what he did or didn't say. Fans troll each other with "Burrow doesn't claim LSU" and "Hurts was an OU QB". If graduating from one school and transferring to another means you're the latter school's QB, then it doesn't "put a damper" on the narrative that Hurts is a OU QB--it confirms it.

He only played one season at Oklahoma and the highlight was a 63-28 loss to Burrow and LSU in the peach bowl.

Don't worry. You don't have to actually read it. It's more illustrative for aggy that Hurts accomplished a couple things in his year at OU. You can get back to your coloring book without giving it another thought.

This is such old news. All of his friends/girlfriend are buckeyes.

He just took a two year business trip (quite good one I might add) to LSU and it changed his life.

He owes his football career to LSU but his heart is still Ohio State. It always has been.

Based on academic rankings that's not a bad stance to take.

Based on income earned as an LSU he’s at the top of his industry like many many other LSU grads! Thanks for throwing a hanging curve

I mean let's just think about this. You get a degree from Ohio State and then another degree from LSU. Wouldn't you claim both on your resume?
He got a Masters degree in liberal arts, which was probably something less than challenging, but you do have to admire the kid. He got TWO degrees before using all of his football eligibility. More than half of college athletes don't manage to get ONE.

InsecureDelusionU folks ^^

But I guess we shouldn’t expect anything less from one of the worst academic institutions in the conference.
