Has any coach fallen so far in a relatively short amount of time? Dude was a hot name after winning 2 NCs at Bama and appeared to have Florida on the right track. Then the shark scandal, followed by the supposed death threats against he and his family. It's a pretty big step-down from a premier SEC school to a MAC school.

Jimbo, You must be talking about a completely different topic. You have gotten so off topic its not even relevant to what I originally was saying.

#1 in the AP poll. But if we want to apply today's standards to that of yesterday's, I guess that means Bama can claim the 1937,1945, 1966 and 1977 titles?

He shouldn't have allowed an image of him fricking a dead shark to get publicized; that was stupid.
No telling how much money he had to pay the Florida based "sports reporter" to claim a mystery man known only as Sean-Sean was the real shark fricker.
Sean-Sean supposedly sent the reporter other images of himself fricking a shark but then backed out of being publicy identified due to fear of anti-shark fricking zealots.
No one, to this day, has ever found out who Sean was, seen any other images, etc... All anyone still has to prove that McElwain wasn't the shark fricker is McElwain's word saying he wasn't.
It reminds me of the ancient parable about the wife seeing the husband kissing another woman on the streets of a city and later confronting him about it.
The husband says the person may have looked like him, talked like him, walked like him, sounded like him, drove the same car as him, etc... but, it wasn't really him if the wife didn't touch him and confront him on the street.
