Its just hilarious how unconditionally they love this guy.
I would not want my teams QB pushing one of our coaches.

Wasn't Bear Bryant an alcoholic womanizer?
Cheating on your wife is worse than pushing a graduate assistant, don't you think?

Oh please, y'all had two of your star players pushing each other in the middle of the national freaking championship game. And when the game was well in hand, at that!

You're naive, brah

If you had have been paying attention, I already told you that plenty in my own fanbase do the same thing. Try to keep up.
What does bear bryant have to do with anything anyway? as if that has anything to do with conversation at hand.
As far as AJ pushing Jones, that is hardly comparable to shoving a coach because you just through three interception.

Also, I have never been able to find anything on Bear Bryant abusing his wife, as if that has anything to do with conversation at hand anyway.

If you are making the statement that some sort of action should invalidate the love that a fan base shows a figure, I think it is perfectly relevant to try and figure out where exactly the line is for Bear Bryant among Alabama fans... Pushing a graduate assistant should suddenly invalidate Aggie's appreciation for Jonathan Paul Manziel? Are you serious?

It's exactly comparable. JFF pushed someone in his peer group (a GA).
And like I said, far worse goes on in every college football practice across the nation. Only reason this is noteworthy is because it's JFF.

You can love a figure and still be capable of calling a spade a spade when the time comes. You are blurring the picture here.

Never implied this at all. Your words, not mine.

Bear Bryant was an alcoholic who hit his wife and neglected his kids and you guys bow to a fricking statue of him outside your stadium every game.

Are you serious with this shite? A coach is a superior, no matter if it is a GA.

You made the statement that you wouldn't want Johnny on your team. Not just that he should have been disciplined, but flat out not worthy enough to be on your team(Alabama). If the accusations about Bear Bryant were true, even if it was just one isolated incident, would you want to remove him completely from Alabama's legacy?

Again, i dont see what bear bryant has to do with aggies recognizing that there is something wrong with JFF pushing a coach. You people are ridiculous.

You didn't imply, you explicitly said you wouldn't want him on your team. As if that action invalidates his worth to the team and program.

What the frick?
Where did I say that?
You are making shite up now.

When did I say it was okay? You didn't just say it was wrong, you went much further.... that is the point I was making.

Settle down, bro. I compared it to AJ and Jones having it out.
My point is THIS shite HAPPENS ALL. THE. TIME. EVERYWHERE. People are hung up on the fact that it's JFF (omgz oh noes), and try to draw conclusions from that when it happens all the time.
Posted on 3/25/13 at 11:50 am to Funky Tide 8
No, they aren't. One of my good buddies is a GA, and another a basketball team manager (wants to get into coaching)... They are at equal levels at the bottom of the totem pole. They don't get treated like coaches anymore than a group leader on a homework assignment is a teacher...

GA, not a coach--there IS a difference.
And Aggies aren't condoning it, just recognizing that it happens all the time and is a non-issue just like it is everywhere else. You're pretty dense not to pick up on that. My reaction to this is the same as when I hear about practice/scrimmage scuffles around the country.
