It would have been impossible for him to hit her if she was smart enough to stay off the field. Right or wrong? Let us see your answer.
It would have been impossible for her to get hit if Burton didn’t hit her. She wasn’t threatening him, touching him, or causing him to fear for his safety. I don’t care where she was. There were 20k people on that field. Him going out of his way to hit an unassuming girl in the head is a bullshite punk move by a sore loser taking a cheap shot at someone who can’t defend themselves.
If some drunk a-hole was screaming in his face, fair game, but that isn’t what happened there.

Might be a good idea to log out tonight since everyone is “mis-interpreting” you. Give it about 12 hours and maybe give it a better shot in the morning smarty.
You can’t admit she put herself at risk. I can admit burton is A POS.
That’s the difference between a poster who sucks at reading, as you are proving, and a reasonable person.

You really dont understand.... anything.
I shouldn't waste my time on you but for the rest of you that are unsure.
She did nothing illegal. The SEC policy was broken by UT allowing students to rush the field.
That. Is. A. Civil. Matter. The head office fined UT. UT was happy to pay the fine that is a policy violation. Once again, a Civil Matter.
Assault is a legal matter with criminal consequences.
A 6 foot plys 200lb college athlete going out of his way to strike, however lightly, a college girl because he can't control his emotions.
And you guys defend this? I'm glad it wasn't a serious assault, but it absolutely meets every definition and there is no justification.
The ones doing so are the same ones that justify beating their wives.

She assaulted his fist with her face.

It was not a foreseeable risk that a football player would hit her in the head on purpose when she went on the field. There are plenty of inherent and foreseeable risks but that isn’t one of them.

The ole "she shouldn't have worn that dress" bit.
Fans storming a field after a win of this magnitude is expected.

you went from completely blaming her:

frick around, find out. Girl shouldn’t have been there if she didn’t want to risk getting hurt.
to them sharing the blame, after you were called out and relentlessly downvoted:

Both the guy and the girl are idiots for doing what they did.
But yes, it's everyone else who can't read and who isn't smart because they can't make sense of your crawfishing double-talk.

Dude, there is nothing she did that justifies getting hit. What the frick are you even talking about here?
If you think he legitimately hit her, then what is the discussion? Again, I didn't see an actual hit, but if he did, then I mean there is no discussion.

Why is a UGA fan defending Burton anyway?

I think we should approach it as if it were a tort case. Should she have been on the field? Debatable.
Is there a reasonable expectation that getting on the field will result in a player willfully hitting you in the head? Absolutely not. And if you say yes then you're saying that it's not atypical for the players to act this way after taking an L.

This issue has been skirted for a few years now. Wasn't that long ago ... last year, IIRC, than Alabama State Police enjoyed just road-blocking a girl as they ushered Saint Nick off the field.
Of course, certain folks enjoyed seeing police crack a skull. And some of those folks opinions would have changed if the skull cracker wasn't representing Alabama. It is what it is.
Point being ... is the gladiator field sacred ground ? Are the gladiators beyond reproach ? Because, if so, then police should pull out the riot batons ... not to protect the gladiators, but rather the spectators.
I suspect that wouldn't be a good look - as the entire spectacle is predicated on the spectators having an imaginary bond with the gladiators.

I'm guessing he's not black since UGA is condemning the poor treatment of someone.
