They did that to a guy a couple of years ago and he came back, so just wait.

The adults were the ones playing games. That's what bothers me about this situation. This is a case where boosters, reporters, and other power players used a minor incident to manufacture a controversy (likely aimed squarely at Pruitt). That didn't exactly work out for them because Banks rather than Pruitt's portion on the call wound up taking center stage. Banks is the guy that got caught in the crossfire.

No one gives a shite about a non-highly recruited backup player saying stupid things enough to dig up tape on it long after the minor legal event that was a non-story in and of itself. They DO give a shite about who the coach is and the state of the program. This whole event was never about Banks, imo.

His life isn't ruined.

He'll just transfer and start over.

Though I seriously doubt he learned anything at all from this.

Pretty obvious he has a shite attitude like far too many young people these days.

Right move, lines must be drawn. Maybe he'll learn some respect.

Accountability & consequences. Rests solely on the person in the back seat of the police car.

So that sounds like Banks had a previous incident from August 2019 of making threats, that was known to Knoxville PD and UT PD? And Pruitt just got the news this morning, shortly after TMZ contacted UT asking for information? That's odd. I bet Pruitt is steamed he wasn't told about that prior to today.

Lol. Click the link and watch the video. It’s literally nothing. Police were called by whoever that chick is but went about their business after seeing her video. It’s just some girl trying to make $$$ after the first video released.

They got this mixed up with the Bryce Thompson situation.

Bryce’s situation was much worse considering what happened in high school. Baffled this kid was dismissed.

I'm just saying that it's odd that Pruitt said Banks was dismissed for new information that had come to light. It looks like this incident was reported to Knoxville police in August and then turned over to UT Police. That seems to be what the article on TMZ said.

I have no idea about the female student's motives, but why is this is new information that led to Banks being dismissed today. Does UT police not communicate with Pruitt about such things.

Apparently there's a video of Banks, from an August incident.

They knew about everything. It’s just the media attention it received when the video surfaced that probably led someone over his head to force him to do it. It makes Pruitt look weak as hell.

Well, whatever the reason, he will now have more than ample amounts of time to find that white blondie that he said he was going to track down.

See, everything works out. Now the racist piece of shite will have time to hunt that white bitch and Tennessee can go on about their business and not have to worry about it.

Banks is happy and Tennessee is happy.

Yes two videos of Banks is what the TMZ article said. One is the cop video, from a traffic stop a couple of weeks ago. And according to TMZ a video from August of a totally separate incident where Jeremy Banks was involved.

From TMZ

"The woman told school officials she had video of the August 24 encounter"

"School officials conducted an investigation and issued a temporary no-contact order against Banks while the probe was underway instructing him to stay away from the alleged victim."

I agree, the media attention was the trigger. Personally I agree with the decision. You obviously don't and that's fine. We all have different opinions. Banks has a communication problem, at the very least, that will continue to cause problems even if he never follows through on some of the things he says. I doubt many universities would put up with repeated episodes like that.

Yes that’s from the screenshot you just quoted earlier in the thread. That incident, if you could even call it that, was absolutely nothing.
