), but I will say that my connections on this include a former SEC assitant coach, a current member of football operations at an SEC school, the owner of a car dealership in north AL, and another businessman. Also, not all of my connections have ties to Bama (in fact, only one of the above could be directly tied to Bama and I'll not say which).
You can believe my posts or not. Either way is fine with me. However, I doubt you'll find another fan willing to be specific about wrongdoings of his own program.

I believe every word you've said, and honestly, it doesn't surprise my one bit. College football is a scanky buisness, and everybody knows it.
The dollar amount ($2,500) sounds about right too. That's more in-line with what most other schools will tolerate in their "gentlemen's agreement" in the SEC.....
But, AU is desperate to get the red-hot spotlight off their arse right now. So, all gloves are off and they (Jeff Lee) will jump at the first chance to drag down another rival program with his beloved Auburn.
