Yes maybe if you dont get player A then you settle for B. How do you know if he was gonna pick Bama that Saban would allow him to announce today. Like it or not committable offers are a part of college football. If Auburn was in line for the #1 LB in the nation and had a finite number of schollies to offer and were waiting with reasonable expectations to sign number 1 then this guy or any other LB that was not as highly ranked would lose that offer. Every school does this.

We didn't need him. This is a catch-22. If he had committed to Alabama, you moan about our LB depth. He commits to Auburn, as he did, and you claim victory in the recruitment of him. I liked White as a prospect, but we're only bringing in three true LBs in this class, and Mosley and Bolton are bigger priorities. Congrats to Auburn on a great prospect, but don't sit there and suggest Chizik beat Saban on this one. I've seen too many posters bitching about Alabama's LB depth, for someone to seriously suggest this was an Auburn recruiting victory.
