If you drop a phonograph needle on Stidham's nipple, it plays the Beach Boys’ "Pet Sounds"

Nah, after he goes 15-0 and wins the Heisman, no way he is turning down the number 1 pick

Stidham? Is he the new preseason Heisman Winner? There hasn't been a QB this hyped up since Jeremy Johnson.

At least quote me right.

What I said was our 2nd team defense would be top half in the league. There's easily more talent on our sideline than what half the league has on the field. Case in point, we have a backup DL getting projected as a 1st rounder next year by multiple outlets.

Yeah, but that's a complete joke. Byron Cowart should be projected to go undrafted if lists were made by actual on field play and not by looking at recruiting stars.

No joke, your 1st team D has a real shot at being third best in the West. I'm not sure what MS ST has coming back.

But Stidham is the real deal, I mean, he's already won two Heisman's since February.

Steve Young / Drew Bree's type player. If he would stay all three years it would be
45-0 Ships!!!

SEC praying he only stays two seasons.

Good luck...

What in the world do Steve Young and Drew Brees have in common in terms of playing style? Other than being white they are polar opposites.

I think he's saying that Stidham is like a combo of the two.

His former coach at Baylor already compared Stidhams arm to Brees' arm and their abilities to put balls in just the right window.

Young is a good comparison for Stidhams mobility though. Obviously he's not Nick Marshall or Cam, but like Young, Stidham is capable of putting up 500 yards a season and getting into the endzone (Young was the NFL career rushing TD leader for QBs until Cam broke his record this last season). Stidham also has that "it factor" that Young had when it comes to winning games that Brees never consistently had.

Nothing, he wears #8 like Steve Young.

Dammit, I like Bowl's explanation much better. That's brilliant, like Stidham.

Hey, I 'm old, I remember Young. He could have started at running back for plenty of teams. He didn't rack up the total rushing yards because he didn't run that much. He had no reason to limp away from the game since everyone always expected the crown prince of Mormonism to eventually enter Utah politics. I'm still surprised he never did.

Not sure what's funny. Sure Brees had the Super Bowl and has crazy good passing stats, but he has never been able to consistently win games. He averages a 9-7 record over his career.

Steve Young had a winning percentage of .657
Brees career winning percentage is .565

Maybe you're going to say "but Brees started off with the Chargers". Yeah but he was over .500 in San Diego and had a prime LT to work with. Steve Young's first 2 season in the NFL were with Tampa Bay, and the 80s Buccaneers were the worst franchise in NFL history. Even with a future HOF QB Young's record as a starter in Tampa was 3-16

Brees is 101-73 (.580) with the Saints
Steve Young was 91-33 (.734) with the Niners

Overall on2t there entire career Brees is 131-101
Young is 94-49

Brees has 89 more career starts than Young but only 37 more wins
